Unexpectedly had a whole heap of people over Friday night. Remembered I had 3 of these gifted from a friend, so pulled out the as-yet-unused glass teapot and made tea for everyone.

Luckily we also had wine and beer and other tea. It’s a lot of fun to watch bloom (of course), but the taste is pretty subtle and nothing particularly interesting at that.

I’m excited people got to try
Paris – Harney & Sons
Lover’s Leap – Harney & Sons
Ombrelle de Papier – Camellia sinensis
Amazing Vanilla – Teaopia

…and who knows what else, to be honest.

Still, awesome! Hurray tea!!!

I have a lot to learn about tea. So far, I know that I love drinking it. Black tea with milk to wake me up in the morning, endless cups of green tea at Chinese restaurants with friends in the evening, spiced tea with sugar for an indulgence, herbal tea with honey to calm me down…TEA!

likes: vanilla, cinnamon, spices

less-liked: fruity teas, artificial additives (although I might be okay if I don’t know about them? I don’t know yet).

I’d like to blend my own tea someday, with essential oils and good quality plain tea and the like. The idea of my own earl grey or monk’s blend is really enticing.
