3 Tasting Notes
I bought this at the Heavenly sale at Teavana, and what a steal! Sencha Jade Reserve, the dry leaves, are a dark green with a lovely light earthy scent. The brewed tea is completely clear and a light yellow, and the taste is very fresh and vegetal. This is a wonderful green tea if you’re a green tea lover!
I bought this tea at the Heavenly sale at Teavana this week, and made it for the first time tonight. The dry tea smells strongly like chocolate and fruit, and the brewed tea carries the same overwhelming chocolate smell. There isn’t enough spice to warrant “fire” in the name, in my opinion, as the spice only shows up minimally on the aftertaste. It’s a nice aftertaste, but it’s the only time you can taste the spice. It’s a good tea, but not a great one. I’m going to keep what I bought and I’ll definitely drink it, but I don’t think I would buy it again if Teavana started stocking it again.
I bought this tea at a tea shop in San Francisco’s Chinatown, and I absolutely love it. It’s one of my favorite teas. I steep the teabag in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. The taste isn’t too earthy, just very light and fresh.
