49 Tasting Notes
So, it tastes terrible – there’s no two ways about it. If it tasted more of licorice, I might enjoy it more. But, it HAS been kind of helpful. I just wish I didn’t have to bolt down a cup to get the benefits because I can’t stand the taste. I’m keeping my box as a last resort, but honestly? I’d rather treat my symptoms with a Snickers, Excedrin and a cup of tea I actually like.
I was initially a bit concerned about how “synthetic” the lime and mint flavors would be in this tea, but I needn’t have worried! It tastes wonderfully like a proper mojito. All it’s missing is a little bit of rum! Today’s cup is providing a bit of escape from a difficult writing assignment – one sip and suddenly I’m back on the deck at my favorite beach-side restaurant, enjoying the sun and the breeze with a mojito and a good book!
One of my best friends sent me a big box of this when I moved house & had to leave my tea stash behind, & I’ve been enjoying it ever since – it’s a proper “get up and get going” cup of tea. Early race mornings, late-night homework and writing sessions, the mid-afternoon doldrums… they’re all no match for this tea. One of my favorites, for sure.
