What can I say? It’s still my favorite and I just purchased another 8oz of it to refill my stash at home. Oh how I love thee!

Yummmm! What a white tea should be :-)
Bleeeh! This is very astringent to me, slightly bitter, a bit woodsy and I can smell muddled grass. IMO this is just a bad combo of teas…black tea, oolong and green tea? Perhaps it had potential if the tea ratios were different? I even added some cream and sugar to help mask the taste of this and as it did help I still wasn’t able to drink a full cup.
I love this iced tea! I can never seem to make a pitcher of iced tea to save my life!!! So I came across this tea and loved it’s flavor profile for an iced black tea right off the bat. To me it’s a lot more complex than most simple black tea profiles. I also like that it’s made with pure cane sugar instead of refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup like many do. They also make an unsweetened version as well.
Yum, yum! One of my few “got to haves”!!! I had this last night before bed and it was very relaxing and light :-)
I tried this last night, and let me start off by saying I am not an avid black tea/chai drink…er-um aka “maker”. See, I love chai but I always buy it already prepared at a tea bar or coffee shop. I do this, because I am lazy to brew it on the stove and then strain it. Alright, so with that being said I made this in my brand new Stump teapot that I got from Zhi tea (very cute btw). Now, I made this for one 6oz cup…well since I never used this teapot before I didn’t know 6oz doesn’t even come up to the filter :-( so I guessed on how much extra tea leaves to put in there to make up the difference for the water so that it would actually cover the bottom of the filter. That cup was weak as water, but smelled good! So I tried again with the same tea leaves and added another tsp. and that one was a bit stronger but still weak, so I tossed it as well and decided to start over another day.
SO from the look for the loose leaf and the smell and what little taste I got, this seems like a good chai, but just a bad user error this go around.
But on another note I ordered from them Monday and got my order Thursday!!! That is by far the fastest shipping I have had so far so I was pleased with that ;-)
I had this iced last night and came to realize this is good in sips and not so much as a whole cup! Bummer! I made 16oz of this and sipped about 6-8oz of it and then I was just completely tired of cinnamon lol….I need to try this hot!
I had this yesterday at work after I had found in the break room. It’s pretty good, but almost too sweet of a vanilla? Perhaps I wont put as much sugar and see if that would mellow the sweetness out a bit? All in all this was pretty yummy!
Tastes like a lemon drop in tea form! Too sweet for me, but I can definitley see someone who likes lemon candy LOVING this tea ;-)
So I had this last night since I had just had Teavana’s Jasmine Pearls the night before (my taste buds and memory were still fresh)! I know I really should just do a side by side comparison, but I think I am just too lazy…or perhaps I simply don’t have the patience to do so? Eh, either way it hasn’t happened yet so this is the best I can do LOL. Now, the first time when I had this it had been a while since I made a cup of Teavana’s Jasmine Pearls and I think I may just been yearning for a strong jasmine flavor to it. Well, after last night I must say that this jasmine is a bit too perfumey for me and just didn’t have the same spunk and balance as Teavana’s Jasmine Pearls… it just did not compare! So for this reason and for the noticeable perfumey taste I will have to knock my rating down; I think the first time I tried them I was just in a jasmine pearl withdrawal and any pearl would have just knocked my socks off!
I didn’t have time to make My Morning Mate this morning (again!) so I went with what I had at my desk, which was this. Which I enjoy, but usually in the afternoons…it doesn’t really do the trick for me to have this as my morning cup, but it was all I had at my desk today.
My order of this just came in this past weekend and last night I finally got around to opening up the box and steeping some of this tea! This time when I made it, it didn’t come out as strong and flavorful as it did the last time with my sample so I am thinking I either need to add more tea or try a higher temp. (I did this steep around 180 I believe). Or it could have just been user error all around, but still it was yummy, just not that yummy strong honey/vanilla taste that I remember last time; I will try again soon!
I had this last night and it’s just so wonderful and calming! On a saddening note though I only have enough left for one more cup…if that! :-( oh well, I have a tin of Rishi jasmine pearls and several samples of jasmine pearls that I have tried, but none of them compare to the lovely Teavana ones! That’s ok though because I tried a sample of Adagio’s jasmine #12 pearls and if I remember correctly trey were just as good as or if not better than Teavana’s jasmine pearls… So I see this as an excuse to buy a pouch from Adagio :-D I’ll just need to order them fast since I can’t go too long without my jasmine pearls!
This does not taste like coffee, nor feel like coffee…just FYI for people out there that may think it is supposed to mimic the taste/feel of coffee. Now with that being said, this tastes sweet, chocolately, and like a spiced orange peel… those are the biggest flavors I am getting from this tea. I think this tea is a lot better with some milk added to it, to smooth out the edges a bit.
I had this again today while I was showing a friend of mine Teavana. So without being rude I took the sample that the sales lady gave us and by knowing that I really didn’t like this the last time I figured it would be the same this time as well. WRONG! It still tastes like red hots or something similar to that, but I could taste other notes and the tea as well. Perhaps my palette is maturing or either I am going crazy? Either way, I liked it so much that I purchased this blend to take home with me. So I will bump my rating up quite a bit since I enjoyed this so much this time around!
I made a big 16oz cup of this last weekend with ice and milk. It was soooo good and tasted just like sweet coconut milk! Yummmmmmm :-D
This was a really good blend! I can taste the green tea with a fruity, sweet note to it! Very nice! Before I knew it my cup was gone and then I was saddened by this :-(
I can taste lavender and I can taste white tea and that is pretty much end of story. I’m not a lavender fan so I didn’t finish my cup, but I can see that if you adore lavender then you could really enjoy this one.
Yummm this is a great tea to cozy up with at bedtime! :-)
I got a sample of this in the mail today with my Lupicia magazine! Oooh durian… I have never tried durian fruit before, frankly because I was scared to death of the horrible stories I have heard of it having a very pungent, nasty smell so I have never bothered trying it! Getting this tea in had me scared, I thought I would open the pack of tea to smell dirty feet or something LOL, but it was actually pleasent and sweet smelling…smelled like a fruit of some sort…I guess a durian since it is a durian tea! Haha. The green tea was present as well and was enjoyable; I did have this iced and my toddler liked it as well. However, I wouldn’t buy this for me because I have other fruity green teas that I simply like better, but this one is pretty darn good!
Having this iced on a hot summer day equals YUM!
Thank you RachanaC for a sample of this! I am backlogging while my daughter is down for a nap…she has a double ear infection and I have been busy since Thursday taking care of a clingy and sad toddler. So since my energy was completely diminished I decided what better to try than matcha?! It’s been 105 here lately so I decided to have a matcha latte and it was quite yummy. Smooth, sweet and grassy…yum!
This is pretty good, but not great…I didn’t care for it much as is, was a bit tart and rough around the edges so I added 1/2tsp of rock sugar and a good dose of milk. Now that’s more like it! The milk really balances out the tartness and the roughness of this tea. I finsihed my whole cup pretty fast after I fixed it up and was looking for more! I don’t think I would buy this though since it’s not really my style of a tea, but I think it is pretty good once it has been “fixed up”.
Yummm this is SO good, thank you Ricky for sending this one to me. I had this hot and then I had it at room temp. and it was great both times. The milky taste came out a bit more as it cooled, but none the less it was still amazing! Caramel with a milky smoothness and a toasty finish to it…YUM!
