9 Tasting Notes

I recently finished my regular Yorkshire tea bags, and then my Twinnings Earl Grey. I have to admit, those were better in my opinion than the Yorkshire Gold, albeit not by much. I feel like this tea has a more delicate taste, which may or may not be the intention of the tea makers. I thought perhaps this would be stronger, but even after my standard 3 minutes, I found myself desiring a stronger tea flavor. It could be because I’ve been drinking Earl Grey, which was perfection for me.

It’s very aromatic. I always enjoy a deep inhale of tea steam before I sit down with my cuppa. Just a bit of sugar and milk (gasp! I know!) and lately, a small biscotti in the afternoon keeps me going.

It’s got a slight artificial taste, but it’s still pretty good. Not sure why it’s energizing- it only has about a 1/4th of the caffeine of a normal cup of coffee. It does satisfy cravings in the afternoon, which is nice. Just a touch of sugar, and some milk and it hit the spot for me.

I enjoy this tea. It’s got a nice flavor, nothing artificial. I enjoy it with a touch of sugar, and milk (blasphemy, I know.)

I was disappointed in this. There was no flavor whatsoever. I wish it was just a little bit more fruity tasting. I’ll finish it, but I really wish it had more flavor.

Yes this is a far cry from fruity. A few of the people I worked with would blend this with Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate or Acai Matetini. It probably wouldn’t be bad with either your Srawberry/Bliss or Stawberry Slender, if you need a more enjoyable way to get through what you have left.

This blend is absolutely delicious. It’s particularly good as an iced tea, with a touch of sugar.

It was ok…the first time I had it, I really enjoyed it. It has a slight artificial taste, but it was easily overlooked. I added just organic cane sugar. The next few times I had it, it seemed to get bitter, and I don’t think it went well with milk at all. It was horrible with splenda, but I didn’t care for it without a little sweetener.

Still not bad- I wish the strawberry was stronger. The aroma is amazing.

My best friend brought this over when she came over to visit me from Britain. It’s absolutely my favorite tea, I love it with a touch of sugar and milk.

The smell is very rich- I thought it was a mix of cocoa and cloves, with a hint of cardamon. After brewing, I tasted it without sugar. It wasn’t bitter, though it missing something. I added a bit of organic cane sugar (1tsp) and a splash of milk. This helped but it was still missing something. My first thought was black tea, so I’m glad to see other reviewers feel the same.

It was still quite pleasant. I really liked that little bit of kick in the after taste. I didn’t really notice it right away, but when it hit, I was pleasantly surprised. I look forward to trying this tea again (and since I have 4 oz, I will be trying it again soon).

I had this way back in 2008 and I miss it. I wish they’d come out with it again, I’d stock up. It was so delicious and soothing. Like a little treat without all the extra carbs and calories.
