Yum. Refreshing and minty.
355 Tasting Notes
Can definitely taste the peachy-tropical flavor in this, and the mellow sweetness. Waiting for it to cool down a bit so the flavors come out more.
I must be losing my mind, because I can’t taste much chocolate in this. I’m thinking the water I used might have been too hot. It just tastes like black.
Perfect for a Monday morning and the first big snowfall here in Chicago.
Trying to use this up. Still tastes very bland to me. The chamomile overwhelms everything else, and I don’t taste any nuttiness or chocolate as the description says.
Like this less than I used to, but it’s good at satisfying a craving for something sweet.
Really interesting.. the jasmine is definitely the most prominent flavor, but there’s an odd buttery taste somewhere in the background. From the green teas, maybe? The mint is refreshing, but I wish I could taste it more. Bet this would be great iced.
Hadn’t had this in awhile. This smells like vanilla tobacco in the tin and I LOVE it. The flavor isn’t quite as strong or noteworthy, but it’s very smooth and manages to combine that earthy oolong taste with sweet, creamy vanilla very well.
Still one of my favorite teas of all time. I’m just about through my third sample size of this.. I should probably just suck it up and order a 4 oz.
From yesterday. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It tastes a LOT like my beloved Mighty Leaf Tropical Green, but the flavors are more muted. I was expecting it to be a lot more flavorful.
At work til 10 last night = strongest tea I own.. now.
I just realized that I probably love this so much because it tastes like Juicy Pear Jelly Bellys, one of my favorite flavors of anything of all time. The gulp of matcha doesn’t hurt, either.
With some almond creamer added. I like it more in all of its black, hearty glory.
I’m used to jasmine teas that both smell AND taste very strong. This has the scent that I’m used to with Adagio’s jasmines (the only I’ve had to date, which were actually oolongs), but it’s a lot lighter jasmine taste and you can taste the green tea base. Different, but good. Soothing.
A little disappointing. This tastes like coconut, but the coconut isn’t as refreshing and prominent as it is in some other coconut teas that I have. I can’t taste the lime much at all. Still good, just not great.
I hate going into Teavana because they’re so freaking pushy, but I bucked up and did it for Matevana. “2 oz. Yes, that’s all I want. No, no tin. 2.2 oz. is fine, thank you.”
Very good. Tastes like cherries (not fake flavoring, but real cherries) without overwhelming the sencha. Like it. A lot.
On my way out the door with a mug of this. Tastes like steel-cut oatmeal with a nice honey finish. I tend to like heartier, more savory oolongs, so I like this a lot.
From last night..
I’ve been wanting to try this for awhile, so my friend brought some today. OH MY GOD. I hate coffee but this has just the right amount of coffee-like flavor to be enjoyable to me. This is what I wish coffee tasted like.
I will definitely be purchasing my own. I read somewhere about cheaper blends that are very similar..
From yesterday – whoops.
The first cup from my second order from SpecialTeas. This smells AMAZING, just like freeze-dried strawberries. The cream flavor comes out when steeped, but it’s not too rich or overwhelming. I like the base of this better than whatever is used for Adagio’s flavored blacks, too. A keeper.
I’m a little bit addicted to this right now. Wondering how much a difference there is between the bagged and loose versions.
