Definitely stronger on the tea front and less intense on the spices arena.
it could just be the scoop i pulled from the bag, but having a not so powerful spice flavor is a good thing for me. because i’ve had times when i had a WAY too spicy chai and it kinda scarred me against liking them. i’m just starting to recover i think. mostly thanks to getting to try some good chais like this one!
now that i’ve tried this tea straight i’m REALLY looking forward to brewing it in a hot pan with almond milk and agave Mmmmmm.
Thank you TastyBrew! delish!
got this for my boyfriend. him and my good gal pal are both big mate fans.
i’m kinda meh about them. i mean sure i like them just fine. but if i have a choice i’m always gonna go towards the damp tannins of a black tea.
but yes! this is yummy! and i will be popular and loved for giving this to my friends!
wow definitely spicy in the cayenne pepper way. very exciting!
you guys probably already know how much i like the other smaug tea. i’m kinda a pusher of the stuff. but i’m one of the only people to like it which probably means i’m either a special snowflake, or totally cray cray. (place your bets now)
so you won’t be surprised to hear that i really like this smaug tea too! (yay finally 52teas and me found a happy meeting ground!) but i also kinda wish it had more lapsang. long live lapsang!
Thank you Scheherazade so much for sending me this! i’ve wanted to try it for so very long! and now my curiosity has finally been quenched!
i’m glad i have a few more cups worth to brew and knowing me i will probably treat them like leafy liquid gold.
this is gonna sound weird and just plain old wrong to a lot of people. but, ya know how some people just don’t like lapsang, or others maybe really can’t enjoy a dark puerh? well, i kinda suspect that maybe i don’t like senchas.
i’m almost embarrassed.
and i bet it means that one day, like a year from now, after more and more tea drinking and learning, i will suddenly become a sencha fanatic. but for now, mmmm…it’s not really my thing.
Thank you Shelley_Lorraine for teaching me new things and helping me challenge my preferences! always grateful to be challenged! always.
