767 Tasting Notes
it’s so light, am i even holding this cup of tea? i think it’s floating away! wafting on the wind!
if i get too excited i may accidentally crush it’s wispy thin cup!
it’s such a delicate flavor that i needed to drink it with a fresh morning palate to really grasp the details.
a vegan pub here has bbq jackfruit sandwiches on the menu often. it’s mostly used because the texture is interestingly meaty for a fruit. its fruit is the largest tree-borne fruit that exists i think. basically it’s tropical and weird. maybe it’s like a really bland pineapple? not really. nevermind.
point is this tea is very subtle but definitely breezy and mangoey and barely even has that greenness. no dryness. no bitter notes. barely any even grassy notes. i’m feeling enthusiastic about this tea.
it’s like holding a baby kitten.
thank you moraiwe for this orchid of a tea.
this is certainly a blackberry tea. it’s tea first but definitely still blackberries.
I know moraiwe likes this tea iced, and MAYBE i’ll try that, but i’m not really an iced person.
i will say that i drank this tea yesterday and today both and it went down easily, and the scent lingered for a noticable while, and i liked it, but still found it hard to write about i guess.
thanks for the sample!
i got a small sample bag of this so i could keep tinkering with my personal sherlock blend. but i put one scoop aside so i could try it straight.
not the best lapsang i’ve had. but still smokey and sweet all at once. not bad not bad at all. just a little flat in comparison to the possibilities. but i wouldn’t be surprised if i ordered the sample size of this the next time i place an order.
i love apple teas. i didn’t know i loved apple teas, but one day i looked down at my tea drawer and realized i had a lot of them. all different and similar at the same time. apple this apple that apple apple apple.
it has a nice fresh apple smell in the cup. and the apple flavor is mild. i can definitely detect caramel notes, but it doesn’t taste caramel flavored per se. this is a good thing! it really is a apple tea, not an apple flavored tea. if you catch my drift.
Scheherazade!! thank you for making my monday a little brighter.
i have a box of over 100 swap samples now and this morning i dug around in it in the dark until i had a few in my hand that seemed varied. i threw them in my purse and went to work.
this is my first taste from my swap with KallieBoo!
i immediately felt really lucky to have my random pick in the dark to be such a tasty tea! my cup was empty very quickly. i am NOT a gal to turn down hazelnut or vanilla in a tea. and hellyeah this one has both.
i ran a 50k race on saturday. my legs are still very sore. especially my right leg.
i’m just saying, that’s why i haven’t commented much. sometimes i read your discussions and want to get involved, but i’m just kinda too busy to take a break.
i’m gonna have to start focusing on training more too. which means i won’t really be able to use steepster as much as i want to. which is a bummer.
did i mention that i have 100 tea samples to try?!?!
2 more swaps came in the mail over the past few days.
whew that’s a lot of yummy.
i love lapsang. and carytown teas has consistently great teas.
so my sister has a new fandom and it is Teen Wolf.
i have a new fandom or two and they are not Teen Wolf.
she has good taste so i full expect to read a great fic she shares with me one day and then adopt the fandom too. but until that time, i will just drink her tea!
she ordered the sample collection box on my recommendation and we are both glad she did.
this one is low caffeine and pretty yummy. the price of sharing this tea with my sister was watching the swimming pool episode. totally fine by me. :)
well, i was thinking that i really shouldn’t write a note about this today. cuz my tastebuds aren’t on their best game. and i probably should have steeped this a little lighter. and i DO have more leaf so i can try again. and i’ll do a second steep of this cup. but i kinda also feel like this tea just isn’t for me.
the smell of the leaves was great!
but there’s something about the brewed tea i’m just not finding appealing. i suspect that lime and green tea just don’t mix well for me? maybe?
i might get back to you after the second cup…
thanks for this taste moraiwe!
