737 Tasting Notes
oh wow. woops i overleafed like bigtime. but i just sipped some down and added hot water. all fixed.
also i bet the second steep will naturally be mellower.
very green and fresh.
an honest green flavor. shinny and bright.
i’m drinking only two cups of tea today.
trying to pre-adjust my body clock from NY to Paris time. if anyone has any jet lag management advice i’m all ears! xo
this is delicious. perfect time of year for this perfect cup.
sometimes i just feel so lucky and so thankful to have something as simple and beautiful as tea in my life.
this tastes exactly like the coconut oolong i got from carytown teas, and i’m glad it does, cuz it would be daunting to have 2 big tins of coconut oolongs to drink. but they really are identical. which makes sense cuz it’s not a complicated tea. so since they taste the same, after sampling it plain for a while, i added a little agave. a little a little. it’s taken some time for me to learn how little a little actually is with agave.
yummy yum yum.
and that’s one less tea in my cupboard. :)
a local friend gave this to me cuz she said she really didn’t like the smell. and i understand cuz i do think it smells a little strange. but the taste is pretty nice. it’s similar to other rooibos from davidstea. but it’s a nice slightly sweet nighttime tea. and there’s a little creamy tone that gives a soft coziness to the cup.
i moved my bedroom furniture around drastically. i do it often. just randomly move my furniture so that things feel new and interesting. i like to change things up. get a new perspective.
i also had a dream that i dyed my hair black. so yes it’s true i’m tempted. though the roots are awful and rarely worth it. (i’m a dark blonde. so as it grows out i end up looking like i’m going bald.)
just watched new doctor who.
drank over half of my sample of this today.
it was just so easy to drink!
the vanilla was subtle for me, but that is great cuz vanilla is so easy to over do.
update: so ya, i just ordered an additional mini sample of this with a new try me pack. i don’t think i love this tea, but maybe i love this tea, cuz obviously i can’t stop brewing it. it’s like i have a compulsion to drink it that is beyond my control.
i win! bwahahahah!!!
i got a surprise bit of this tea from TastyBrew in our mystery swap, and that would be a ho-hum story except that i LOVE this TEA! i even ordered myself a second sample pouch from Della Terra after i finished my first pouch in record time. and now i have more of it! and i will goddamn hoard it all i want to!! cuz ’’’singit’’’ this is fucking awesummmm
i can smell the chocolate, caramel and almond flavour. this one is better than the rest of davidsteas pu-erh’s at least. but that’s not really saying much.
they do flavoured and fun teas so well. for example their oolongs are always enjoyable. so it seem strange to me that davidsteas made an entire collection of pu-erhs and somehow managed to suck all of the vibrancy and poetry out of the leaves. like a white tea or some jasmine pearls, even if the tea isn’t the best harvest ever it can still be good. it can still put you in touch with nature and have some depth.
i procrastinated and procrastinated drinking this coffee pu-erh for a very long time cuz i was dreading how bad it might be. but honestly, it might be the better of the pu-erh set. so if you like davidstea and you wanna drink pu-erh, pick this one or chocolate orange. but also, go buy some pu-erh somewhere else too. and keep giving it a chance.
