Really nice oolong. I had put in 2 tsp into 16 oz and it’s a little dry. I will try 1 tsp next time.

The taste is a bit woodsy as others have said. I can’t detect any floral notes, but it is a very smooth taste (until the dryness… oh man, I need to rebrew this with 1 scoop).

And you really cannot beat the price. The tea is surprisingly not a crappy quality considering I got this at the Asian market for $7 for the container.

This is so delicious. It is mellow, and subtle, and full, and everything a good oolong should be. YUM.

This tastes… odd. I wonder if this was contaminated with some of the other stuff I ordered. The dried tea smells minty, which it should not, so I wonder if the bags aren’t as air-tight as they should have been. If I concentrate, I can taste the milk oolong but there is definitely a spearmint flavor that is mingling in and I’m not sure I like it.

This is a really nice Milk Oolong, that does not lose any flavor between steepings. I got three steepings out of one teaspoon, but probably could have gotten more if I had wanted.

This is a milk oolong but it doesn’t smell as awful as some others I’ve tried, so that may be a plus for individuals who had been turned off from this variety before. The taste is a bit more subtle than the smelly milk oolongs and I don’t know which I prefer. Both are yummy in different ways.

This is a very pleasant green tea. It’s light, and the pine is extremely subtle but tasty.

Steeped 10 minutes per instructions.

I was not impressed with the smell of the dry tea. I guess I was expecting it to smell like a graham cracker. The brewed tea smells yummy! It tastes okay. I don’t think rooibos is for me. This is the second one I’ve tried (the first a blend from Persimmon Tree) and I am not very impressed with either.

I can see this possibly working iced with some sugar but fresh-brewed without any sweetener just isn’t doing it for me, which is a shame because I could really use something caffeine free to drink at night. I guess I’ll go back to a cup of regular tea at night, and just hope I can still fall asleep.

I couldn’t decide if I liked this or not. I’m normally prefer oolongs and whites to blacks but I was in dire need of caffeine this morning, and I had this sample. The taste is smokey, with an almost bitter/sour-but-not-quite undertone. It’s a full flavor but not one I found entirely pleasant. I’ll have to try this again at a later date to see if my initial sleep-deprived impressions change.

It was very well caffeinated though. I stayed awake during my early morning meeting.

This was delicious. I’m so glad I got a sample of this with my last order because I doubt I would have ordered it for myself. The flavor is subtle and it’s hard to tease apart the different flavors. It’s a little sweet, a little smoky, and perfectly smooth going down.

I’ll have to make another mug of this when I’m not in a hurry in the morning and just in need of a caffeine fix. This is a tea to be savored.

This is the first raw pu’erh I’ve tried, and I think I’ll try some more. I haven’t been terribly impressed with the aged ones.

Wild Monk is really nice. If you are looking for other milder, more subtle sheng pu’erh, may I suggest Mandala’s Silver Buds Raw. They sell it in loose form and in cakes. I loved the loose sample so much that I bought more loose and a cake!! It’s like a white tea pu’erh – really nice and gentle, subtle. Just a suggestion….

Thanks! I will try them when I next place an order. I have a ton of tea to go through though…

While it is not the best Phoenix Mountain Dan Cong I’ve had, it’s still quite tasty. The flavor is nice and isn’t bitter or astringent. The taste started off subtly flowery, and its not until the end that you detect the almost smoked-woody flavor.

For a smoky tea it’s not very smoky. I love Lapsang Souchong because of the smoky taste so I was disappointed in this blend.

I’m a tea-aholic. I’ve always loved tea. It is soothing and warm and comforting. I always had it when we went out to eat as a child so my first association is with rich and delicious food.

As an adult, I’m learning to enjoy tea on its own merits, and bask in its subtleties and varieties. The ritual of making a cup of tea is instantly relaxing.

I prefer oolong and white teas, followed by greens. For the most part, I don’t like straight black tea, but appreciate it as part of a blend or flavored. I’ve learned to love the world of flavored teas out there.

I’m slowly learning to appreciate rooibos blends, which I started drinking for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Love: Oolong, almond, coconut, peach
Hate: Ginger
