1234 Tasting Notes
My husband would enjoy this if he could drink it. Alas, it has dairy so he can’t. The orange flavor is very subtle compared with the chocolate. Which is probably good because using real orange slices to flavor things (when they are dried) can be tough. Most of the time they end up bitter.
Preparation
I’m going to have to give an official rating later. I think I steeped it too long and lost the chocolate flavor. I can still kinda taste it. The chai is good though. It doesn’t have that spicy kick I like but the flavors are enough for me to look past that.
Going to add some chocolate almond milk and warm it up…
Too hot… but good!
Tea # 8 from the tea box. Was not expecting rose petals! It’s a good tea but I’m not tasting any apples or… crisp. The roses over power them too much. I’m giving it a lower score because of this. Maybe if they renamed it rose apple crisp and upped the amount of apples I would reconsider a higher score.
Preparation
Had another itch attack last night. It’s been the only part of this pregnancy that i can’t stand. Oh the fat, swollen feet are pretty annoying but I still consider this a great pregnancy when I hear what others have gone through.
So where am I going with this? Pulling this tea out of the box made my morning. It kinda reminds me of strawberry slender pu er by teavana but this one has a stronger base to it. In other words i can taste the sencha more in this one then i can taste the pu er in the other.
I’m going to try this again at some point iced like another poster said and see how it is.
Preparation
Tea #6 from the tea box. I’m not much of a fan of pop, cola, soda… whatever you want to call it. Not sure of how i feel about this one. It slightly reminds me of Long Island Cola by Island Rose. I can taste the cola and the chai just not sure of how I feel about them mixed together.
Preparation
Tea #5 from the tea box. Was quite excited to see how this compared to the apple pie tea from the tea shop near us. It is on par if not just slightly better then the one from Indigo. Both are very good though. Added a bit of honey, probably didn’t need to but it adds a flavor to the tea that I think makes it even better.
Preparation
4th tea in the tea box. Brewed 2 cups to be enjoyed by friends and family. Nothing added. Considering adding but i dont want to ruin the flavor. Its the after taste that is the best. Surprisingly the rooibos doesn’t over power the rest of the flavors which it usually does. Also, think this is better slightly cooled.
Preparation
Tea #3 from the tea box. Made a cup for my hubby this morning. Knowing how much he loved Frangelico I thought this would be a good fit. He likes the smell but he says nut tea just don’t quite get the taste profile he is looking for. I’ve poured a little cup for myself as well. I’m amazed at how much hazelnut flavor there is. It really is quite good. Tried it both warm and cold. Works both ways.
