Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge
September 2022 → A yerba mate
This is a whole mix of ingredients, including the mate I needed to complete this sipdown prompt. And it is, in fact, a sipdown! We’ll probably get more of this one at some point, it’s one we both really enjoy.
Flavors: Orange
Preparation
I didn’t taste any licorice at all! I tossed the bag already, but I don’t see licorice on the list of ingredients on the Yogi website. It looks like it does have monk fruit and stevia, but I didn’t taste any of that artificial sweetener flavor. I’m usually pretty sensitive to that.
Working on some sipdowns this week!
This is one I can’t say I’ll miss. It’s not very flavorful. It’s very lightly spiced. I can taste clove most, but even that is faint. I did add milk, so it’s a cozy drink, but it tastes more like a warm spiced milk than any sort of tea blend. Glad to have one more single serving out of the cabinet!
Flavors: Clove, Spices
Preparation
This tastes like chocolate! It must be the base tea – I don’t think I remember seeing chocolate in the ingredient list. A very satisfying cup, even if I’m not tasting much in the way of berries.
Flavors: Dark Chocolate
Preparation
I loved this the first time around, but this cup tastes like chamomile. How strange. The spices are barely there too. I must not have gotten a good mix of everything in this scoop. It’s the last of the bag. I’d thought about ordering more when it becomes available. I might still do that, but hopefully a full bag will have more flavor.
