45 Tasting Notes

Hazelnut from Adagio Teas
83

This tea is very tasty, especially blended with Adagio’s cream flavored tea or served with milk. The hazelnut flavor is very strong, a nice contrast to the usual weak hazelnut flavor in other teas. It is, of course, divine combined with a chocolate tea, but be sure to use more chocolate than hazelnut tea as the hazelnut will overwhelm otherwise.

I prefer the first steep served with milk and sugar, but the second is great on its own.

Six Summits from Teavana
59

This isn’t bad, in fact it’s a good, light oolong, but with the raspberries I was hoping for more of a berry taste. It’s more of a raspberry memory.

Dream by the Fire from The Republic of Tea
65

Surprisingly not overwhelmed by cinnamon. The rooibos and vanilla are the main players while the cinnamon adds a bit of spicy punch. Lighter than I expected it to be. Good, but I was hoping for something a little more strongly flavored.

Pear-Lemon Panache from Teavana
73

Wonderfully fruity, like summer in a drink.

Do not steep for too long or with too-hot water or the lemongrass and the hibiscus overwhelm the more delicate pear flavors.

Mango Ceylon from The Republic of Tea
72

A surprisingly light and fruity tea. No hint of bitterness to the cup.

Hot Apple Cider Tea from The Republic of Tea
74

Apples! And spices! Too bad Republic of Tea doesn’t offer this herbal tisane year round because it is absolutely lovely. A tasty apple and spice.

Pomegranate Raspberry Green from Stash Tea Company
41

Disappointing. For something that smells nice in the package, the tea itself was kind of blah. It neither sang nor sank and instead simply was boring.

Chai Green from Stash Tea Company
Turkish Apple from Teavana
75

This is my favorite apple herbal tisane and I’m still annoyed that Teavana discontinued it. Its rich apple flavor is rounded out with cinnamon and ginger for a sweet, spicy, fruity cup. Just yum all around.

Lady Grey from Twinings

I like this blend better than the classic Early Grey. Lighter, almost delicate black tea and the oranges and lemons less bitter than the usual lone bergamot.

Earl Grey (loose leaf) from Twinings
75

I am not normally an Earl Grey fan, but this version was nice. The bergamot was clean and refreshing and the black tea base robust without being overwhelming.

Herbal Revive Tea from Twinings
Cranberry Blood Orange (Fair Trade Certified) from The Republic of Tea
White Peach from Adagio Teas
75

A good quality white combined with a nice peach flavoring. Tasty and will certainly continue to drink, but nothing outstanding.

Decaf Crème Caramel from Stash Tea Company
Lady Grey from Twinings

A good, citrusy black tea. I like this more than Earl Grey as the mister is a bit harsh; the lady has a smoothness.

Blueberry Rooibos from Rishi Tea
75

I took this to a tea party once and out of over 20 teas available, this was the most requested. Very berry without tasting fake and has the most delicious blueberry smell. Don’t be tempted to make it a blueberry cream drink as the acidity will instantly curdle any dairy added to it.

Rooibos Berry from Adagio Teas
25

Oh god, this tasted like the hated children’s “berry flavored” medicine. I couldn’t finish one cup.

Bing Cherry Vanilla from The Republic of Tea
Chestnut from Adagio Teas
Green Needle from Adagio Teas
White Tropics from Adagio Teas
White Pear from Adagio Teas
Honeybush Apricot from Adagio Teas
