4 Tasting Notes
Such a girly tea! I get lazy sometimes and just warm my water in the microwave because it’s faster than taking out the kettle and the tea is just the right temperature when it’s ready. Well, i’ve tried Hot Mama 4 times already and this tea tastes immensely better with boiled water from the kettle. The sweet licorice note comes through here. I think this tea would actually taste better iced. Despite it being a decent tea, I don’t find it all too memorable. Can’t wait to finish off this 100g canister (must stop purchasing fancy tins).

Maybe I should give this another chance…it smelled so delicious in the canister and I so wanted to like it, but all I tasted was tangy fruit with coconut notes, which left me really disappointed. I had this hot, which may have been the difference…or I may be growing an aversion to pineapple…

Had this as a hot tea the other day and it was delicious. I never had green rooibos before, and the only other rooibos I’ve had was this bagged caramel rooibos I bought in Germany several years ago (I don’t remember the brand, and it was really awful).
Green and fruity is refreshing, “fruity” with papaya notes. Not really tasting any mango or pineapple…but it seems like a keeper. Definitely one of my favourites so far.

Been drinking bagged tea for years, but turned to loose leaf lately, mostly being a sucker for David’s Tea cute tea cups and accessories — I’m weak!!
So, in wanting to try a large sampling of teas without shelling out for 50g bags, I bought the Easter Tea Hunt sampler pack from the web specials section — score!!
Finally got around to trying Red Velvet Cake, but not sure how to describe the flavour of this tea. I was expecting it to taste like a warm inviting chocolate pillow of deliciousness, but it was more of a muted muddy concoction…and I was really turned off by the greasy red-coloured ring at top of my cup. Definitely not a favourite…
