drank Peach Matcha by DAVIDsTEA
451 tasting notes

First sip: sweet, stonefruits, grassy green tea. Fantastic! The fruit flavor is really well done!
Next sips: Hmm… this is cloyingly sweet and bitter at the same time.
Half the mug later: Yuck! I feel sick. I’m not sure I can actually finish this. Maybe my friend that wants to try matcha would have better luck?
After the addition of sweet creamer: Yay! Bitterness gone … though I lost a LOT of fruit flavor.

On the bright side, I know how I’ll finish this off. I’m annoyed that something that already contains sugar needs more to cut the bitterness for me. And I used cool water on this, too!

God, I can relate so much to starting the first sip on such a positive note, only to have things go downhill from there. Strange how that works.

I became interested in tea spring 2013, when some friends of mine brought me to a local tea shop. I’ve been experimenting since, and am absolutely in love! I am especially fond of blended teas, and I’m a sucker for gimicky flavors.

My cupboard is stocked with a lot of DAVIDsTEA at the present, although I do have a few teas from some local shops. I’m looking forward to branching out and trying teas from different vendors and shops. Let the journey begin!
