75 Tasting Notes
Enjoying a cup of 7 Treasures this morning after several days without my customary cup first thing in the morning. This tea is perfect for a cool, sunny morning – light, warm, subtly flavored. It grounds me in the moment, which is what the best tea can do, bringing me into my body, my setting, my life. Love it!
Well, after our second warm day in a row, my allergies kicked up big time today, so of course I brewed up a pot of rooibos as soon as I got home from work. It really does make a difference.
In the spring when I’m sneezy, I drink this all day, and it helps to keep the allergies manageable – without the need for otc pills, which I hate. Unfortunately, Teavana has discontinued this rooibos. A shame, because it really is tasty – floral and fruity, but never heavy or artificially ‘flavored’.
I picked up a supply of this late last year after it was discontinued. I have enough left to last me about a week. Then, I’ll have to find another rooibos. Luckily, the Rooibos Tropica is also wonderful and has not been discontinued :)
It’s warming up out there, so I’ve made several pitchers of iced tea lately. This is one of my favorites, but it’s almost gone:( I wish Teavana hadn’t discontinued it! I’ll have to try to find it elsewhere.
Drinking my 7 Treasures at work today, which means I can’t always enjoy it fully, but it’s so tasty and soothing that it pulls me into a quiet meditative moment with most sips :)
It’s a cold, wintery spring day here in Colorado – though the sun is shining now :) We have snow peaks on the downy tips of our trees here, so this tea seemed appropriate. The taste is vegetal, leafy green, today. I still don’t taste any peach, but it’s warm, so it’ll do.
Still no peach flavor, though I get a slight scent of it upon opening the tea tin. Do I have a peach impediment? Still, a good tea :)
Finishing up the Tamaryokucha…just dust now, but I don’t want to waste it :)
Picked this up yesterday and I quite like it. Like most white teas, it has a light flavor – not too heavy, but definitely interesting. I couldn’t quite taste peach, but it has a nice floral/fruit quality.
Drinking Three Kingdoms Mao Feng after replenishing my supply. Still a great everyday green tea with good flavor. Must say though, I may never shop at a Teavana store again. I’m really tired of the hard sell tactics they use…‘accidentally’ measuring more tea than you asked for, pushing one more tea, and one more tea to make their 1 lb. discount, which isn’t that great of a discount (only 10% on already overpriced tea). I like some of their exclusive blends enough that I’ll keep buying them, but I may start buying exclusively online.
