Another cup of tea for tonight, perhaps the last for the night. I think i finally have the recipe down for this tea. 2 teaspoons of the tea itself in simmering water, just hot to the touch. In these conditions this tea excels. The sweetness of the chocolate comes out and the smoothness is exceptional. No Tannin when brewed at this temperature, which is essential for me to enjoy a cup of tea. You cannot really detect the mango that is allegedly in the tea, but the vanilla and the chocolate blend nicely.
7 Tasting Notes
SO I just brewed up a cup of Strawberry. Only steeped for about 3.5 minutes and still cannot escape the bitter taste of this tea, which is sad because it smells so good. The water was almost boiling when i added the tea too it. Maybe i need to reduce the amount of tea i’m adding to the water or something. If anyone has any suggestions on reducing bitterness let me know. I love this tea, but the bitterness turns me off.
SImply delicious. The Orange and Lemon blends together into a brew that ensnares the senses and nourishes the soul. The tea has a very clean taste to it, and slides right down. The tea needs to be sweetened, but only Sweet’n’Low will do. I’m serious. Regular table sugar does not do this tea justice.
Just brewed up a cup of Valentines by Adagio. I was a little skeptical about the basis for this tea so i only ponied up for the sample size tin. The taste of the tea is really complex for a tea with only a couple of notes in it (Strawberry, Black Ceylon, Chocolate). The tea tastes very smooth when brewed like this, but needs a little sweetener to bring out some of the more subtle flavors. I think brewing it for the recommended 5 minutes makes it taste a little bit bitter, so the next time i’ll cut down the brew time a little. The tea has a little bit of a tannin to it, but again, this could have something to do with brew time and water temp. The aroma of the tea is phenomenal and will quickly smell up your kitchen if you’re lucky. Overall a very well constructed tea. I’m gonna recommend brewing it for about 3.5 minutes with just barely boiling water. I’ll post again when i’ve given it another shot.

This is an excellant tea. Light and slightly fruity with sweet notes to boot. Its best if its brewed no longer than 3.5 minutes in almost boiling water.
This is a great tea…when brewed properly. Brew it too long and its far to bitter. If you don’t brew it long enough its chocolaty taste does not come out well. Its a gret cup of tea for a cold day outside. It also a great tea when the lights are low and the mood is right.
