Masala Chai from Wissotzky Tea
100

I’m drinking this now, so this review will be very fresh.

To start, I must confess I have not mastered the art of properly warming hot milk and mixing it with chai tea. So I happen to enjoy my chai either with or without cream. Luckily, all the chais I’ve enjoyed are good by themselves. (I’m a grammar nazi, and that sounds wrong? I don’t know though.)

Tasting now. Yum. I adore Chai, and W tea has done it right. It’s got all the wondrous spices of Chai, all mixed together to produce that cinnamony, spicy glory. I haven’t researched the ingredients In Chai to be able to name each one I taste, but the cinnamon is there. It has a rich flavor, and it tingles nicely on the tongue. It’s a warming tea, no doubt. I really love this tea!

Best with a medium amount of sugar, or to your own preference. Cream or no cream, that is the question. I take it either way, so do as you like. It steeps best at the longer end of the scale, and I have yet to over-steep chai. Make a cup, curl up in your favorite spot with a book, and enjoy!

Bio

Bio needed a change, so here it is!!
Me: 18, bookworm, tea lover, life lover. :D

My tea reviewing: I am open, honest, and way excited! I always start with the smell of the tea, first dry and then steeped. Then I head into taste, and if it seems important or nice, the color. And then finally, anything extra that needs to be said.

Tea making and drinking has become a ritual for me, a calming, wonderful thing that I love and it’s just something that makes me happy. :-) Loose leaf tea is my new heaven-sent love.

Favorite teas: Earl Grey, Chai, Fruit, yummy flavors like chocolate, anything sweet like that. Ummm….just good stuff, really. Open to trying pretty much anything, swapping, though not at the moment since my tea collection is a bit average and mostly bagged stuff. If you do want to get rid of some stuff, I’m willing to take and try, and I’ll try to give something in return.

I AM A STRONG BELIEVER IN ADDING SUGAR TO TEA! I will try it straight, but I am not afraid to add things to my tea, if they are natural and things that go well with it. I’m just as big of a tea lover as the dedicated purist is, I just don’t like tea straight, usually. Sugar brings out a lot of flavors. But hey, I’m not going to destroy my tea. :P

My ratings:

1-59: O.O NO. NEVER AGAIN. EVER!! NOOO NOO NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT TEA THIS IS EVIL IN A CUP! (Maybe not always that harsh, but yeah.)

60-79: Good, will try again. :-) Not the GREATEST but good.

80-90: Great, a really nice tea. I love it!

90 or higher: YUMMY YUM YUM!!!

100: PERFECT PERFECT!!

I like to chat, so let’s talk!!
