I think this is one of the most jam-packed teas with the most ingredients I have ever tried!
Ingredients: Apple pieces, candied pineapple (pineapple, sugar), hibiscus flowers, rosehip peels, elderberries, green mate, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple chips, citrus slices, citrus peels, apple slices (apple, acidifier citric acid), flavoring (blueberry, pineapple, lemon, lime, peppermint), raspberry pieces, raspberries, cornflower petals, spearmint,
AND…here are my thoughts…
I really thought that with all of these ingredients that it would be really gross BUT it’s not bad! I’m thinking it was meant for more of an iced tea but I am drinking it hot at the moment.
With all the berries and touch of hibiscus I knew the color would be a reddish-purple and I was right. BUT…considering this DOES have Hibiscus in it – and that I don’t usually care for hibiscus – I found this to be surprisingly nice taste-wise.
It does smell much like a mixed drink like a fruity martini or a cranberry and vodka type drink.
I can taste the apple, Acai, berries, and floral notes first and foremost. In the middle of the sip I can pick out the pineapple, and citrus family of fruits. As it cools at room temp I can taste a HINT of the minty ingredients if I hold it in the mouth for a while and then on to the aftertaste. The aftertaste is mostly Apple, Pineapple, Orange, Lime, Berry, with a hint of flowers and mint at the very end.
I’m rather surprised at the way I am enjoying this. I was thinking it was going to be too tarty, too sweet…yes, it’s sweet but there are other factors playing a part and I like that.
Yeah…I like this ok! Shock Factor rating is high! Interesting, indeed!
