6686 Tasting Notes

Mate Limon Chai from The Tea Spot
64

Prior to infusion – smells like sweet and sour Thai Food
During Infusion – smells like Indian Spiced Lemon Grass
After infusion is complete – smells like Lemon-Ginger-Spice Type Rice or something.

The color is a cloudy brown.

Thankfully there isn’t much of a Hibiscus flavor…but enough to know it’s still there. I can also taste the Lemon, Ginger, and Coriander more than the rest of the ingredients.

This isn’t bad…This isn’t terrific, either. I will finish my cup but – to me- it’s not memorable – but then again I wouldn’t usually go right to this type of blend if it where sitting on the shelf in front of me…if you know what I mean. I think there are many out there that would enjoy it, however.

Jasmine Green Tea from Kusmi Tea
67

Pretty average for a Jasmine Green tea (which I am not usually fond of to begin with) but this isn’t bad. I like and appreciate the fact that there isn’t that Jasmine aftertaste that lingers…it’s sweeter at the end instead…Thank you for that Kusmi.

Passion Fruit Black Tea from Teajo Teas
72

This is my first Teajo Tea and I love trying new brands!! Eventho it smells nice…the scent isn’t overly strong. The coloring is a amber medium brown. It’s a little floral, a little fruity, and a little bitter…not a bad bitter but still a little bitter. It’s a powerful taste which makes up for the lack of scent, I guess. It’s an “ok” cuppa!

Ceylon OP1 from Teas Etc
83

Infused at a higher temp and more loose leaf for a longer time and it’s still pretty light in color for a black. Still good tho.

Candy Cane Lane from Celestial Seasonings
100
Shui Xian Oolong from KTeas
78

Very Woodsy smelling…

Woodsy and a tad fruity tasting…yes…Chocolate notes…not so much…still a tasty oolong tho!

Ruby Slippers Blend from Talbott Teas
77

This smells like Wine prior to infusing. The coloring of the liquid is certainly a ruby red.
Strawberry-Floral tastes push thru the most. Vanilla-Strawberry aftertaste. Creative and beautiful blend! Lovely. A little tart for my usual-liking but still a good Rooibos!

Immunitea from The Loose Leaf
67

I was REALLY afraid of this tea when I was reading the description but once I tasted it it was extremely mellow and soothing…VERY different from what I thought it was going to be like. A good surprise. Altho it’s not overly flavorful – it’s quite pleasant and not medicine-tasting…

Green Bouquet from Kusmi Tea
78

Oh yes! MUCH BETTER! Note to self (and others who are interested..) a little goes a long way!

A solid green tea once prepared correctly! LOL

Green Bouquet from Kusmi Tea
78

Smell…green grass/plant and flower smelling cigar…like smell…

The green tea is VERY powerful…so much so that I hated the taste at first. I am going to try this one again right away because the leaves expanded so much that I think it was my fault for starting with too much of the loose leaf…so stay tuned…

Vanilla Mint from Golden Moon Tea
83

The smell is just that…Vanilla and Mint.
The taste is also both.
The Description couldn’t be more clear…and it stands up to it.

Lime in the Coconut from California Tea House
89

This lightly flavored green tea is quite the treat! It’s a little lime with even less coconut taste so for those who aren’t sure about flavored greens you might like this! It’s juicy and sweet and fun! Not much for a smell and it’s typical green tea looking liquid but still nice!!!

Rooibos Cherries from My Tea Shelf
41

Not sure about this one…it actually smells like bacon and a hint of lemongrass. eeeek. It’s very light in color and in taste. Thankfully it doesn’t taste like bacon. I know some of you like that sort of thing tho…sorry…not for me. It tastes like lightly flavored cherry water.

Scottish Breakfast from Culinary Teas
83

A beautiful deep reddish brown. Not much for scent. Nice medium, even taste with slightly smoky undertones at the end of the sip.

St Petersburg from Kusmi Tea
91

I recently got a little bit more of this and am drinking it now…totally LOVING it more than before so I am upping the rating! It’s caramel but not obnoxious! It has a hint of fruit too. It sort of remind me of a cross between a Werther’s Original and a Creamsicle Candy.

Candy Cane Lane from Celestial Seasonings
100
Sugar Plum from Eastern Shore Tea Company
90
The Goose Is Loose #28 from Adagio Teas
80
Flowering Pomegranate from Local Coffee and Tea
92

This smells fruity and pleasant.

The liquid is cloudy/murky

Tastes like Green tea with pomegranate juice. Not tarty-bitterness, thank the tea gods! I really like this!

White Melon Yogurt from California Tea House
89

The dry leaf smells odd. It doesn’t smell like melon or yogurt or white tea. It’s really hard to describe.

Wet leaf smell – a vegetable – but I couldn’t tell you which one.

It’s a typical white tea color for the liquid.

And smells like white tea.

The taste…well, it tastes like white tea! I can taste a melon taste…more like a honeydew melon. Can’t taste a yogurt taste but you can tell something makes it smoother…so I will chalk that up as the yogurt!

Thumbs up for being a creative blend. It’s tasty and refreshing. Regardless of how hot the water may be it seems to give me a warm and cozy feeling even after sipped/swallowed.

FUN.

Almond Green Tea from Kusmi Tea
80

I was surprised by this tea. Eventho I cannot pick out much of an almond type taste I know what I like and I like this tea.

I can taste a sweetness to it but not a nutty flavor. The nose almost has a florally-mint to it but not quite.

Regardless it’s tasty.

Pussimbing Garden Tea 1st Flush from Boston Tea Campaign
85

This is a light reddish brown color and has a semi-sweet/semi-fruity/ever-so-light smoky scent to it. It has a juicy floral taste to it that is quite unique. The end of the sip is fairly juicy, too!

neat blend!

Kiwi Peach from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
75

Dry leaves before steeping is much more peach than kiwi.
Smell of liquid…a little bit of both
Light brown in color.

Kiwi and Peach blend ok together and you can taste the green tea taste on top of them.
Fairly Good.

Tropical Fire from Tropical Tea Company
79

This is pleasant…nothing too overpowering and it all meshes well together. A bit tropical tasting with a hint of spice!
