6686 Tasting Notes
This has a sweet leaf smell to it. It’s very very light in color…of the lightest black teas I have seen! Looks like an Oolong! The taste has a cake-like finish. The beginning of the sip almost a sweet-woodsy taste. I will say that it’s very different than any black tea I have ever had. The more I drink the more of a sweetness I can taste…not sure if it’s honey-like but oh well. Actually I think the texture is more honey-esque than the taste…but that could just be me…

This is the first one I am trying.
The smell is neat…like a minty celery.
I believe this is going to be one of their new teas so I haven’t been able to locate it on their website yet.
Taste-wise it’s an interesting full flavor type Tie Guan Yin. I think it tasted much like it smells…a clean celery-mint type taste. It’s smooth and buttery. Very Nice!
Okay…after sipping this again and paying more attention to it…I still like the Rooibos, it’s tasty! It’s not really what I would called orange or yogurt tho. There are hints of orange and a creamy finish…so maybe more like a slight creamiscle taste…but not very strong. Regardless – I like it – and it’s not as sweet as some rooibos’s (or is it Rooibos-EYE, lol) are…but thumbs up for the creamy attempt…cuts back on the natural sweetness of the rooibos for a more smooth blend!
Another refreshing and delightful blend from Norbu! This is like Spring in a cup! It has an ever-so-slight floral and earthy scent. It’s greenish-yellow in color and the taste is thirst quenching and sweet. At first sip it almost tasted like ‘toast’ but then morphed into a sweet and buttery delight!
I had this last night and I remember it being a good tasting rooibos…not too rooibosy-sweet – it was even and yummy. I don’t recall the orange or yogurt tho…will revisit and REreview today.
Juicy with vanilla and black tea throughout! I’m liking this more and more…
2 things…
ONE…I found 4 boxes of this today and bought all 4 in a flash!!! If anyone wants me to mail them a sample or two…respond with your email addy and I will drop you an email for arrangements.
TWO…I found a nifty Tea Bag Holder Template online this morning and have been making tea bag holders for my cheaper bagged teas for tea swaps! YAY!
Okay…so…I’ve reviewed this tea many times and it’s still a winner. It’s like Tea Crack! (just kidding)

I like the coloring the Rooibos adds to this blend within the black tea color! Brilliant! The wet leaves smell like Vanilla Cheerios! :P
I’m going to up my rating on this! This is blending really well today…must have been subconsciously craving it.
Had this twice this morning! LOVE it!!!! The melony-musky-mix makes this (say that 10 times fast!) LOL
This still smells slightly smoky to me.
It is more of a thick reddish color this time tho.
I’m still not getting juicy but I guess I could chalk up this cup – compared to the last – more wine-like…maybe a semi-dry one. It’s kind of dry but also a little sweet.
This cup was better than my last by about 2 points :P Whatever that means…regardless…I’m raising it by 2.
My first cup of the morning!
Well, this tea certainly went fast! I had two cups out of the remainder of my stash. The first one was a little bit more black tea than last night and the 2nd cup was almost like a mint chocolate chip cookie. Sorry to see it go…waaaaaah…
Looks like I have been registering my version as loose leaf but I have bagged in stock…regardless I am drinking it and enjoying it!

You can’t get any more pure of a coloring than this! Oh-so-slight yellowish clear liquid.
A Slight floral/sweet grass scent interrupted by a lovely sweetness both in scent and taste! It’s so refreshing I would do backflips if I could!

Not sure what happened to Red Leaf Tea’s website – but nothing is coming up today! Regardless…here is a great Rooibos from them I am drinking right now!
Because I do not have an official description I will just tell you what I see and taste – but keep in mind that I am not totally sure of the ingredients!
I smell hints of lavender and papaya almost. Whatever it is – it’s nice! It smells really good! The taste is great too! Floral, Fruity, and Sweet! It’s a treat!
Not terrible but not great…it’s just very light on taste and mild on character!
I really MUST be in for it today! Most of you may know my past Hibiscus experience have rarely been pleasant ones…but..for the sake of tea education…“here-goes”…
After infusing it’s Easter Egg Red in color…smells like fruity tarty Hibiscus…go figure!

Isn’t as bad as I thought it would be…it’s tart, but almost…READY FOR THIS…tasty!
I understeeped and used less of the amount.
About 2 minutes with less than a tablespoon amount.
I’ve been made speechless…a hibiscus I can actually stand…pure hibiscus!
I wouldn’t buy or drink a lot of it but for the sake that I usually don’t like Hibiscus I will rate it a little higher! This would be great iced…I’m drinking it hot and it’s pretty good!
Some of the dry loose leaf looks like a gunpowder-type. The pre-steep/dry leaf scent is fairly mild. As it’s infusing it smells like moss and mint.
I’m typing this as it steeps…dum-dee-dum…dah-dee-dah…
It’s COLD here today…about 16 degrees. We got like 2 feet of snow yesterday/last night…ICE and windy. At the office the pressure flow to the heater isn’t up to par so it’s cold in here too!!! ZOINKS!
Anyhow…I think this tea will be good for multiple infusions based on the leaves after the first infusion. If I like this tea…I will put it to the test shortly!
As I look into the cup – the liquid is a little murky but it’s a tannish-light brown with orange hue. Doesn’t really smell like much tho.
The taste is evenly spearmint AND Green Tea…it’s refreshing and not over the top minty so if you are afraid of a lot of mint – try this…
Smells sweet but tastes a little bitter but not bad. You can taste the spices and they are strong but in a satisfying way instead of it being distracting.
This is a weird smell…almost like something turning funky in the frig…but the more it cools you can smell a hint of cinnamon. The coloring is neat…a reddish brown on the verge of black. It’s bold but even in taste. It’s growing on me…
