Wanted a stronger taste than last time so I steeped 3 T for 4 to 5 minutes. That certainly did the trick. Still ended up tasting a little like vegetables…almost like peas in a pod with a hint of jasmine or something. I still “like” it but might not reorder for a while – just to make room for other Adagio Green’s I haven’t tried yet.
6686 Tasting Notes
Smells more like white tea but tastes like a more intensely flavored white AND YES tangerine. So far this is probably my favorite bulk loose leaf from Frontier Co-op
This is a tea I blended on Adagio’s Site and it can be found – with more info and to purchase – here http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=9351&SID=f9c12fbbf9284f52191b901d8bb407e7
I was craving Strawberry Rhubarb but also wanted both black and green teas.
You can smell a medley of strawberry, rhubarb, chocolate, and mint after steeping. The coloring is between a dark oolong and a light black tea coloring.
It’s a fun tea! I am really liking it!
You can taste the black tea, strawberry, mint, and green tea flavors more than the rhubarb but it all blends pretty good and I feel this is a nice – creative blend!
It’s black tea but creamy. Smells nice. Still surprised I like it the way I do because I usually don’t go for the vanillas…but I do…I like it…and I will admit it.
Of the bagged Variety to end my work day…yay!

Or you can use 60% Raspberry Flavored Black, 40% Chocolate Flavored Black, and 10% Herbal Peppermint.
Upon first sniff you can smell the chocolate and peppermint in the blend more than the raspberry.
It’s a BOLD taste. And the Raspberry and Chocolate come together nicely with the peppermint as the extra lil kick.
The peppermint also seems to linger for that minty fresh aftertaste.
Pretty Good…might only need 5% peppermint tho.
I would certainly try it again.
Here’s an Oolong Blend I added to the Blends Section of the Adagio Site. The direct link is http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=9297&SID=c8e6b56fbe338faf44d4543152596502
Smells like vanilla-nut Oolong. Coloring is quite dark for an oolong. The taste is certainly the vanilla oolong with more almond than I thought would be noticeable. The Grapefruit is barely there but does give it a hint of zing that makes you wonder.
This isn’t too bad if you are looking for something different and like oolongs.
Eventho in a previous review I said NOT to oversteep I am contradicting myself yet again! Today I oversteeped…but with less loose leaf steeping. I steeped about 1.5 Tablespoons for about 7 minutes and it still came out good. So…I’m thinking oversteep is ok with loose leaf moderation.
My Mistake! Not the tea’s…Steeping water NOT hot enough and not enough loose leaf. I really ruined that cuppa. Bad Tea=Bliss, BAD! How dare you ruin an Adagio Tea.
Why is it that some teas seem to give you the best steep – at the last loose leaf in the tin? This happened to me today. It was SO Delish! I will prob re-order this at some point. I really like it!
I can finally taste the hint of gunpowder as mentioned in the description. This is a first for me on tasting this. I oversteeped a lot. I mean…A LOT so I think that had something to do with it. I like it regardless of the steep! It’s a keeper!
I’ll never stop LOVING the smell of this! It’s pretty darned good to sip, too!
2nd steep – there is the buttery taste others were talking about! Still good tho
Oversteeped on purpose. Hard to totally mess this tea up which is good. It’s certainly a white tea taste and this time I get more of a vegetable type undertone. Probably because of the longer steep. I am going to resteep just for kicks.
Had this last night…wasn’t as creamy this time tho…still ok
I saw. I Bought. I drank. I enjoyed. Repeat As Desired…yes, please.
resteep – good
Following my craving for Black teas today…I decided to try this one again. I really like it. I will say – the black tea doesn’t seem to be as strong as the black tea flavor in the Strawberry Adagio Flavored Black. I also noticed that the Raspberry is harder to oversteep than the Strawberry…just a few comparison notes there…hope you don’t mind…now back to our regularly schedule tea programming…
I’m in a Black Tea Mood today. I’m drinking this one right now. It’s the last of my stash and it will be missed. Might have to reorder again some day. Good-bye for now – old friend.
I still have yet to master this one, it seems. Still very bland today. Not bad tasting just not very flavorful.
This is another one of those teas that will draw you in by the aroma. It’s lovely. This is only my 2nd attempt but I have decided that I do like it very much.
Backlogging…yay!
2 cups. The first one was great – the second was oversteeped and bitter…totally my fault tho…so still a thumbs up
Had 2 cups this morning and having more now. Has become a good-ole-standbye!
