Westlake Dragon Well from Shang Tea
84

One of my favorites, this dragonwell features a rich chestnutty taste that is clean and pure. Unfortunately, I don’t think Shang offers this anymore because he doesn’t grow this himself.

This is totally unrelated to tea (sorry) but I noticed your location and had to ask… Do you go to Cornell?

Yep I go to Cornell :)

Whee! That’s where I went! Ah, Mt. Vernon. Three bars, 2 video stores and a tattoo parlor in a town of less than 3k (well, at least when I went there). Nostalgia.

Awesome! Yeah, not much has changed around here. We have a frisbee golf course on the front lawn, and a new residence hall (clock tower), but everything else is pretty much the same. When did you go to Cornell?

I was there ’97 – ’01. Before Pfiffer was redone so my corner single? Yeah, the windows would get ice on the inside. Really hope they fixed that… And the orange carpet was still orange. I saw something that it is purple now?

The orange carpet is still orange thankfully. And Pfeiffer is on it’s own heating system now, so I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get ice on the inside of the window, however I think Tarr and Dows still have that problem

Jeez, it’s a small world, isn’ it? :)

Hmm, maybe I’m just remembering when they asked us to vote on two oranges or a purple for it… I’m old now – memory’s bad you know. :)

@Jillian: Yay for the interweb!

Bio

I began my tea adventure when a counselor at Spanish camp introduced me to yerba mate. From there I soon started to embrace all different kinds of tea.

Currently my favorite tea is dragonwell, with silver needles being a close second. I really enjoy trying new teas and experimenting with different steep times and temperatures,
