Very floral. Oversteeps easily, which I feel is true of most jasmine teas. Perfumey, sweet, and slightly medicinal. I think I’ll stick with the Red Chai Masala blend from this company when I feel like tulsi.

This one was just OK for me. Which is surprising, because I usually love these Organic India Tulsi blends, and vanilla is one of my favorite tea flavors. I’m not getting a whole lot of vanilla or creaminess.
I can definitely taste the rooibos, which when combined with the tulsi, unfortunately renders a medicinal, cough-syrup-esque note.
Would have really liked more vanilla sweetness to buffer/ round that out a bit more.

I’ll be in the minority on this one, I guess— I love it.
It has just the perfect amount of maple sugar in it to give it the woodsy, butterscotchy maple flavor without being sickeningly sweet.
The ginger is warming and gives it a nice spicy edge.
You can’t really oversteep it— it’s very low maintenance and suitable for busy work environments, like most CS teas.
I brewed this with hot water from the office coffee machine in my Tervis. I’m drinking this decidedly autumnal/ wintery brew in the middle of summer for the anti-inflammatory properties of the ginger. This honestly tastes loads better than a straight ginger or lemon ginger infusion, or the turmeric ginger tisane I’ve tried (although the turmeric ginger tea works the best medicinally).

Cold-steeped this one for a few days in my glass teapot. It’s divine. Tastes exactly like perfectly ripe honeydew melon. Blended well. I get buttery and floral notes in the aftertaste as well. The sweetness of the melon and guava flavors are counterbalanced nicely with a pleasantly sour/ slightly bitter edge from the tea.
Thick, buttery, juicy mouthfeel, akin to the texture of melon.
Not sure which type of Japanese green tea they used for the base— I don’t think it’s sencha— but whatever it is, it makes for a delicious, delicate cuppa.
This company always manages to make very complex and delicious bagged blends.

Oh, I do so love this blend!
It’s like the finest Earl Grey imaginable.
Light black tea base.
Soothing, silky mouthfeel.
Delicate fruity notes of citrus, stonefruit, and berry.
Vanilla and caramel/ burnt sugar in the aftertaste.
This tea has ruined me for all other EGs.

Upping my rating on this one after a few more tries with water at the right temp. When made correctly, this is a pretty good cuppa. The blueberry flavoring is actually quite a bit more subtle than the still-overpowering dry leaf’s perfume implies. The green tea base tones it down and give it a floral note, which is a nice surprise. I’m still not getting any vanilla though.

All in all, still not my favorite Harney blend… The finished-liquor payoff isn’t worth the preparation fussiness. The lemongrass makes it taste and smell like a cheap Good Earth teabag blend or something. I wish they’d ditch it and add vanilla bean instead.

Super disappointed in this one from H & S. Usually their stuff is much better.
I got the silk sachets. I could smell the blueberry before I even removed the seal on the tin. Artificial-smelling, like blueberry flavored candy.

Steeps a normal green tea color, which is odd because there are supposed to be real pieces of blueberry in this blend. Shouldn’t it at least have a purple-y-blue tinge to it?Liquor smells strongly of fake blueberry and lemongrass.

The water I used was admittedly too hot, so the tea leaves ended up with that nasty, bitter, “cooked” taste, which I will own is my fault and not the blend’s. But even discounting that, the fake flavor is still overwhelming, with a note of cloyingly sweet fake vanilla in the aftertaste.

For now, this is a hard pass for me— will not be restocking. Will try again at another time with water at the proper temp and see if my mind changes.

One of my anytime favorites. Tastes like warm vanilla custard in a cup. Smooth and creamy and just… Perfect.

This is a lovely herbal/ fruit tea. H & S blends are always blended so perfectly. The orange peel and flavoring balances out the flavor profile. Sweet, with just the perfect edge of bitterness that makes cranberry so appealing. Truly does the berry and the flavor justice!

It’s a nice fall/ wintertime blend, great for snowed-in Sundays like today. It would go very well with a toasted and buttered English muffin.
