drank Chocolate Mint Rooibos by Téga

Oooooooooo damn, this is one delicious tea!

The chocolate is so rich, and then the mint is like a light gauzy shawl wrapped around it. The rooibos is very fine quality and not too aggressive.

The longer it steeps, the better it is! It has a decadent, creamy mouthfeel.

So, so so so so gooooooood…. I am gonna be so sad when this cup is gone. I will definitely make a second.

Great idea in theory!

It brews tea well— My only objection is that it’s hard to clean. Some tea gets trapped in the chamber between the pot and the strainer part on the bottom, and the only way to flush it out is to push down on the bottom while running the faucet into the pot. Leaves cling to the plastic inside of the pot in the bottom crevices near the strainer and are not easy to get out, either.

The lid also pops off easily but then doesn’t snap back on nicely.

All in all, it’s good for when you’re in a rush, but not so good once you get around to cleaning it out.

I love this mug! Hold the perfect amount of tea, and the strainer dips low into the cup so that the tea steeps evenly and quickly, and all the leaves are submerged.

The lid can be used as a saucer for the strainer once the tea is brewed, which is very ergonomic and elegant. Strainer, mug, and lid are all sturdy and easy to clean.

Perfect for work or for being lazy on weekends!

Sipdown!

Would that the end of these teabags marked the end of winter! But alas. I must endure another month of depressing cold gloom.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. One of the better bagged white teas I’ve had. It has a pleasant and fragrant aroma of warm spices and a nice surprising bite from the lime and made me think of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women.

Would definitely buy again if it weren’t a seasonal blend!

Super satisfying.

The large chunks of ginger inside the silk sachet are aesthetically pleasing, and then once it’s sat in the hot water for a good long time, it’s almost brothlike both in consistency and in how it made me feel after I drank it.

Ginger is a magical herb. It tastes good, but it also helps with sickness, both physical and spiritual. It’s helping me fight winter depression tremendously. This particular blend is extremely high-quality, with just the perfect twinge of lemon to neutralize the spicy edge. Warms the body and the soul.

Thank you for this wonderful experience, H & S!!

This one smells heavenly! I’m drinking it instead of coffee this morning because I need less caffeine and more comfort.

I get earth, snappy peppermint, and chocolate from the dry leaf smell and the steeped liquor smell. I can tell already that this is a very well-balanced blend.
Sipping… I taste mostly mint, with the chocolate kind of winding up in the undertones. I bet if I added milk and a bit of sugar next time, it would punch the chocolate up a bit more.

Still a highly enjoyable cup!

Flavors: Chocolate, Mint

Boiling 4 min, 45 sec
Rosehips

Oohh, I’ve never tried this with milk and sugar. What a good idea!

I have a Chocolate Mint Oolong from Stash Tea that’s pretty darn tasty with milk and sugar, so I’m imagining that this one would be good with them, too. :D

drank Green Ginger by Tazo

For some reason, I really wanted ginger today… So I made a cup of this and had it with my steamed veggie dumplings. It was a match made in heaven! I get smooth green tea, a bite of ginger, lemongrass, pear, and steamed vegetables. Not bad at all!

My manager gave me one of these teabags! Holy crap, is it delicious.

The tea base is a little astringent, but the white chocolate and candy notes smooth it out.

It’s a Valentine’s Day themed tea, and I think it suits the holiday. Felt like a treat.

Sipdown!

It’s taking me forever to work my way through my fall seasonal teas. I’m aiming to get rid of my Adagio Spice Sampler pack next before it goes stale.

The thing about teas like this is that, after they disappear from the shelves, you forget about how tired of them you were, and then you see them again in the fall and inevitably buy them again.

This is an okay tea. It’s yummy enough for what it is, but it’s not about to win any medals. It definitely tastes like apples, but I wish I had shared it more with others because it was a long journey to finishing it myself.

I liked this one. I think I will order the loose leaf version someday soon (perhaps once I get my tax return).

It’s like a white tea pretending to be a black tea. I dig the wine/ grape notes and the floral finish. Delicate and soothing. A great introduction to darjeelings!
