Oh, God, this is gross. It tastes like overripe green beans that have been boiled in canned chickpea juice.

I’m only drinking it because it will help irradicate the free radicals that I’m probably full of from stress. But it’s like taking medicine- not enjoyable.

Next time I will try making this at a slightly higher temp- this one is lukewarm- and adding some honey to see if that helps any.

drank Apple Cider by Bigelow

Found this at Market Basket today! I’m so happy. I love this one.

The hibiscus somehow manages to taste good with the cinnamon and the lemon peel. This tea really does taste like apple cider! Bigelow captured the texture and consistency of it perfectly. It’s sweet without being sugary-sweet.

I can’t wait to drink this more once the leaves have changed color!

Mixed Saffron Chamomile by Taja Tea with Classic Sleepytime by Celestial Seasonings.

It made two relatively unexciting chamomile-based teas taste really good. The spearmint from the Sleepytime is especially prevalent, and the saffron adds a certain richness that wouldn’t otherwise be noticeable. It’s kind of like a chamomile bouquet of gentle goodness that makes me feel much better about life.

Mmmmmmm, perfect bedtime mix!

drank Vanilla Caramel by Bigelow

I like this one, it’s just… not as good as Lipton’s.

Woah, never thought I’d say that about another tea.

This base of this one is much more aggressive than Lipton’s, and it overpowers the vanilla. It ends up tasting a little like burnt kettle corn.

It’s not bad, it’s just more of a savory tea, whereas Lipton’s is more of a dessert tea. (I don’t know about everyone else, but when I reach for a tea with caramel in it, I’m usually looking for a dessert tea, and not so much savory.) Lipton’s apparently has “real caramel” in it, whereas this one just has caramel flavoring, so maybe that’s part of the difference, too.

Overall not bad, but since I like Lipton’s version better, and Lipton’s happens to be less expensive, I know which one I’ll be sticking with in the future.

Drinking this to compliment my scrambled egg on an English muffin this morning. I enjoy it. It’s bready and rich. Very savory.

Such a strange concept, genmaicha, if you think about it. But somehow it works, and works well.

drank Darjeeling by Twinings

I don’t know what everybody means when they say this tea is bitter. I think it’s light and fragrant and fruity. If tea were a wine, this would be it.

I taste grapes and flowers. It’s almost like a white tea in its delicacy and mouthfeel. I only steep it for a few minutes, because that’s all it needs.

Flavors: Flowers, Grapes

I need to try it someday :)

drank Vanilla Caramel by Lipton

I got a new box of this last night. I forgot how much I love it. It’s like having sweet, caramel-y dessert. But it’s healthy.

It’s amazing as a hot tea, and positively divine as an iced tea. I hope they never stop stocking this at my favorite stores.

Flavors: Burnt Sugar, Caramel, Kettle Corn, Vanilla

Soooooo this tea!

The honey flavoring tastes genuine, and the vanilla augments it. I also taste peach notes, but I may be crazy.

This is a very good application of lemongrass. It manages to not taste like soap for once.

Well played, Celestial Seasonings.

Flavors: Peach

Lexie Aleah

I also got peach from this in the box that I just opened and made a cup of. So Strange!

I tried this at work yesterday. I was expecting it to be fake-tasting and too sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was smooth and tasty. The berry flavoring was authentic and had just the right bite of tartness that fresh juicy strawberries have.

Lipton is to black tea as Salada is to green- reliable for people on-the-go.

drank Dosha Chai Rooibos by Teavana
737 tasting notes

A friend from work gave me some of this in exchange for some of my Kava Stress Relief tea.

Oh my gosh, is it delicious! It has pieces of real cinnamon stick in it. I taste coconut, apples, lots of warm cinnamon, and a sweet rooibos base. It’s warm and smooth and perfectly blended. Like liquid apple pie.

This tea is a game-changer for me. I was ready to write Teavana off as a bunch of overpriced hibiscus-lovers, but this made me reconsider them.
