I thoroughly enjoy this one. You’d think that it would be really bitter and unpleasant, but it is actually very smoky and mellow. This morning, I chose it because mate helps me to feel full (thus, I don’t feel the need to overindulge with mid morning snacks) and because it is super efficient at waking me up without giving me jitters.

I tasted burnt toast notes, chocolate, and earth. Absolutely wonderful idea to mix mate and black tea together! They really work well as a blend.

Peppermint tea is one of those simple pleasures in life. I like it because it’s such a warming, soothing herbal tisane that has so many health benefits.

Today, I’m hoping that it helps lower my blood pressure- we had a plumbing issue this morning that got fixed, but has now become a leaky ceiling problem.

Not. Good.

So I’ll just continue to sit here and sip my tea, hoping and praying that everything works out okay.

Decided to try this one again. I think as long as I only drink it once in a great while, it’s no worse than having a few beers. (Which again, I only do once in a great while.)

I really love the flavor. The hazelnut and carob are wonderful together. I adore hazelnut coffee, so it makes perfect sense that I enjoy this one. It’s like having dessert, without the calories and sugar.

Except that this drink does exactly the opposite of what hazelnut coffee does! I definitely feel drowsy, and my tongue tingled a little while I was drinking it, although I’ve been assured that that is normal while drinking kava. I’m definitely only going to drink this one before bed or when I know I don’t need to drive or be anywhere after.

This is easily the best-tasting tea from Yogi that I’ve ever tried. I’m glad I decided to give it another chance.

Tulsi is always good… Especially this flavor. It’s strong and floral, but sweet and earthy at the same time. Leaves a pleasant taste in the mouth and a calming feeling in the body.

It’s the perfect “just stop and breathe” tea.

This stuff really doesn’t taste great… It smells like wet clay. And it tastes bitter and medicinal.

I’m only drinking it because I’ve heard good things about gotu kola. We’ll see if it “eases my mild tension,” like it promises to.

This is really hitting the spot for me today. I’ve had two mugs of it. The black tea base is high-quality, and the bergamot has the exact right amount of presence.

The first cup was very floral, but this second one is more hardy.

I like it.

I went to scoop some leaves out for a cuppa tonight, and… Uh-oh! I scraped the bottom of the tin! Why did I go through this so quickly?

…. Oh right, because it’s delicious.

With a spoonful of organic honey, this is the perfect health drink. The honey, which has antimicrobial properties, takes the bitter edge off of the hibiscus and cranberry, and rounds out the elderberry, currants, rosehips, and rooibos.

I need to restock this stuff!

200th tasting note! Wow.

A mug of this stuff, steeped at exactly 170 degrees F for three to four minutes, and stuffing copious amounts of processed junk food into my mouth is how I’m choosing to deal with that excruciating phone interview I just had.

Being a college senior looking for a job sucks. Especially if you happen to be painfully shy and not good at interviewing. Stammered, repeated myself, and rambled.

Ughhhhhh.

Well, this blend is good, as always. Yogi herbal blends are hit or miss, but their green tea blends are always right on. Yay for minty, fruity, sweetness!

Oh gosh, I’m sorry you’re so anxious about this. Looks like pretty much my entire dash (myself included) is experiencing job-related stress. I just hate it so much. I hope things look up soon for all of us.

Me too… Peace, love, and tons of tea. I’ll send happy thoughts your way :)

I’m obsessed with chai blends lately. I guess I’m waiting for winter to finish up around here and let spring have a chance.

As I’ve remarked before, nothing particularly special about this one. Choice is a pretty failsafe organic option if I’m ever on the go, but I’ve yet to try a blend from them that is really memorable, save for their lapsang souchong Russian Caravan. I wish the spices were just a little bit stronger in this, but it’ll do.

Funny thing about Yogi- they’ll make a tantalizingly delicious blend full of herbs that are horrendously bad for you (looking at YOU, Kava Stress Relief!) And then make a terrible-tasting blend full of herbs that are good for you.

Like this one. Which I am only drinking because of this afternoon’s kava scare.

Here’s to a happy liver and unhappy taste buds tonight. Bottoms up.
