HOT review…

This infuses super dark super fast. The watermelon isn’t as hardcore as I was hoping but then again I was a rebel and did this hot first. I will review and rate based on the cold…stay tuned.

Special thanks to The Purrfect Cup for this one! It smells AWESOME!!!!!

ICED Review (I reviewed it HOT Prior)

This still isn’t as intensely flavored as I was assuming it would be but it’s still nice. I do prefer it iced to hot…it seems to bring that sweet and juicy watermelon out more, naturally.

Very nice. I wouldn’t mind one with more watermelon but I also understand the toned down flavor as many people don’t like intensely flavored black teas at times, too.

This is nice!

I received my iced tea series today and this is the first tea that I had to try.

Very good! The black tea is strong with a juicy watermelon taste. It isn’t a strong, cloying flavor – this isn’t your average iced tea. I really like this a lot.

I brewed up another half gallon of this last night so that I could have iced tea today – not that I really needed it for today because the weather is surprisingly rather cool. But, I did enjoy a glass of this with my dinner, and now I am sipping on another glass.

I really like this a lot. The watermelon flavor that is here is the red part that is just above the rind. Not the middle part of the fruit – the mushy part – but, the firmer fruit that has a slightly less sweet flavor to it.

Very refreshing. Delicious!

My daughter picked this one out. She thought it would make a watermelon. :) (She’s three.) Okay, it’s good, but I don’t know if I made it right. I’m getting a vegetal/watermelon taste, which isn’t what I expected. The watermelon is great. It’s not sweet, just the flavor is present. My husband even likes it, but added Splenda to his.

I used the Breville and brewed it at 205/4 min with the basket cycle to agitate it. I just dumped the whole packet in and then added 40 oz. of water (which is as high as you can do a tea cycle with the Breville.) I figured the amount of water doesn’t matter all too much as it’s going to be iced anyway, which adds more water. I’m just not certain why I’m getting such a vegetal taste to the tea. Any ideas?

I don’t know if I like this one or not. The melon flavor is pretty natural tasting which is great, but there’s something that makes me not love this tea. Maybe it’s the aftertaste? I can’t put my finger on it…

So, it took me a while to get around to trying this and I’m not sure why. Last night I finally dumped maybe half of one of the packets into some cold water, and tried it this morning. Delicious! I was mostly worried that it would be too strong if I hot-brewed it, and I was worried that it would be too weak cold-brewed, but this is actually perfect. Really flavourful and refreshing. It made me buy the second iced tea series even though I am so beyond my tea “budget” these days.

Backlogged from the weekend. THIS one I brewed right. It tastes like watermelon without being overpowering.

Drank it outside in the bright bright sun with my family. Mom loves it too!

KallieBoo!

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss! I didn’t like this when I brewed it hot then iced it.. So I just went with cold brewing it and it’s awesome. Light and ever so slightly watermelony!

I’m a loner, Dottie. A rebel

Due to receiving two packets of this, I set one aside for iced tea and opened one up right away to try hot. Because I’m difficult that way. I also cooled it down to drinking temp with a frozen slice of watermelon. It was very good, the tea came out a bit bitter to me, but I’m picky about my black teas. I look forward to trying it again, though!
