From 52teas

I’ve been getting requests from a few customers to start creating some fall blends, so here we go. This is our unique blend of Indian black teas blended with marigold petals and natural pumpkin and cheesecake flavors. I have a feeling this is another one that is going to sell out fast, so don’t hesitate or you might miss out.

On the 5th day of Christmas…

I haven’t had a chance to try the 4th day Earl Black yet. Must taste it this afternoon. Kim and I went ahead and had today’s tea this morning.

It was a nice smooth nutmeg/vanilla black tea. I couldn’t really taste pumpkin or cheesecake. Pumpkin pie is a favorite of mine and I was hoping to have a bit of that flavor in it. I can do without cheesecake, so I was happy not to taste it. It is a good flavored black tea, but doesn’t really taste much like its name would suggest.

It smells so creamy I love it, I added a dash of milk to this and it does taste quite creamy, I can’t really taste the pumpkin, which is a little disappointing, I wished this was sweeter so I could taste the pumpkin but it is lovely to drink, I could drink this again.

This is a pretty smooth, yummy tea. I am not sure if I am getting much cheesecake taste, but there is a pumpkin taste for sure.
The black base is still there too, which is good.
I am glad I got to try it. Thanks Jillian!

I think I’m with the consensus here. I was really excited for this one (I bought two packages, shh!) but I’m not really getting either pumpkin or cheesecake from it. At all. It’s still decent and nice with a hearty helping of milk, but not what I expected. Also, I seem to have a thing with the cinnamon in 52Teas teas. I’m not sure why, but the cinnamon in these usually seems sharp and unpleasant to me and it does something weird to my throat. I remember feeling the same about the Apple Vanilla Chai. Also I had a piece of pumpkin pie on the weekend that did the same. But, it hasn’t happened with the other chais and the Cinnamon Roll honeybush as I’d expect it would. For the most part I love and adore cinnamon so this was off-topic and not a well-formed observation, but I don’t really understand what’s going on. Milk in this tames the cinnamon to a very drinkable level.

Smells absolutely wonderful. I did not notice much pumpkin and no cheesecake at all. There was a hugely strong cinnamon flavor though which probably overpowered any other flavor notes there might have been. That said, it was a very tasty cinnamon tea.

This is a lovely fall tea. The major flavors for me are spice and pumpkin. Not too much cheesecake when sugar is added, strangely, but without sugar the sweet cheesecake flavor is appreciable. I like this best with just a splash of soymilk.

Had my first cup last night and it was very good!
When I opened the package up the smell made me happy – there was a hint of real pumpkin pie (it was EXACTLY like the ones I made the other day for Thanksgiving), and the cheesecake part is definitely there too.
I steeped this for a few minutes I think, and added milk/bit of sugar. The flavour itself is kind of the same as how it smelled! The pumpkin cheesecake is there, without covering up the black tea. It seemed like the flavours kept changing and some became more pronounced as my cup cooled off – especially that earthiness of the pumpkin, but in a good way.

I love pumpkin, I love cheesecake…but I only had a slight fondness for this tea. I think part of the “lacking in the affection department” was because in my mind I was thinking of an epic dessert in a cup and while the aroma was nutmeggy and spicy, it was missing the pumpkin—and the cheesecake!
