not my cup of tea. Had this earlier today in an effort to actually drink a few samples in my cupboard. It’s just nothing i want to drink in a tea lol

Arby

But who could resist bitter and oily in the same tea?!

I was pretty sure that I read other reviews of this, but I am only the second review. Maybe it was posted under a different name, also?

Anyway, herby flavour, lots of lemon, a hint of floral and fruity. The part I don’t like is the bitterness from the olive leaf. It makes the cup undrinkable. It is really bitter and that bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Even with a bunch of milk it has that lingering bitterness that stays on the tongue.

My curiosity for olive leaf is now satisfied. Thank you, CrowKettle, for the share. I appreciate the chance at tasting this without having to commit to a full sample. I still have half a baggy (~1 tsp) that I will pass on to a friend.

Still trying to figure out how to make it not bitter; felt a little bad giving this to you but maybe someone out there will love it?

I appreciate the chance to try it though! I’m going to pass it on to a Greek friend of mine who likes sour and bitter teas. Maybe she can enjoy it more than I did.

Now I’m curious to try olive leaf, too. Pretty much everything that everyone else thinks is too “sour/bitter” my palate reads as “tangy/tart” or “pleasantly sour” so I love hibiscus (which seems to be notoriously hated by everyone on Steepster) and flavors along those lines. I am now quite intrigued how my tongue would interpret that note…

It’s funny, this tea disappeared from my cupboard and I had to readd it. I wonder if there was another entry that somehow got deleted.

Some peace before bed. It’s an early day tomorrow as we drive to Disney in the AM. Yay!!

As for the tea, its herby from the base with a nice punch of lemon that is quite lovely.

Cool, happy trip!

Arby

Have a great time in Disney! What’s your favourite ride?

VariaTEA

Thank you both!! And Arby, I am a Small World type of girl however I was only there for the day because we dropped off my sister and brother-in-law and wanted to check out Pandora. Of the rides yesterday, my favorite was the Na’vi River Ride because it was new and exciting and beautifully done.

Arby

The Na’vi river ride and the yeti ride (Everest) are my favourites at Disney World.
