“So, in fact … You-you mean …”
“Yes.”
“I’m your … … best …”
“… man.”
“… friend?”
“Yeah, ’course you are. ’Course you’re my best friend.”
John watches with interest as he takes a long slurping drink of his tea and then swallows.
“Well, how was that?”
“Surprisingly okay.”

i had NO idea i would like this tea this much. seriously no idea.
it has cinnamon in it for heavens sake. so, maybe, just maybe, cinnamon isn’t my problem? or maybe the apples and oranges balance it out nice?
it does have a kinda spiced cider flavor to it almost.
i’m really surprised.

it’s like this strange balance between fruity and dry, and maybe even a tad idea of salty? probably the puerh.

it’s definitely a weird kind of tea. not normal. and after reading my reviews for over a year you probably know right away that that’s why i respond to it. i like it weird. beautiful things are usually a little lopsided. i like the flaws and imperfections. or as Frances Ha said, “I like things that look like mistakes”. that’s where the art and magic of life is.

Terri HarpLady

I couldn’t agree with you more on the last statement!

MissB

This sounds really lovely, and wholly appropriate for your quotes.

Lynxiebrat

Maybe it has to do with the quality of cinnamon? Or maybe where the cinnamon originated.

Isaila

THAT QUOTE.
OH MY HEART.

This tea is weird and spicy, and I like it. I’m drinking it out of a really cheap, stained coffee mug so maybe some coffee remnants got through. I really need a tea mug update!

A rich chai. The puerh makes a bit of a difference, I think.

Would possibly buy again. :) Thanks so much for the sample, Shmiracles!

As I watched the season finale of Castle today, I wanted an appropriately-themed tea. Well… I’ve yet to see a Castle blend (yep, I’m looking into it as I type) so I drank this instead. I’d call this an earthy, creamy chai almost, with a marzipan hint of creaminess, with some very mild cinnamon and… puerh? Really? Wow, that’s smooth. I’m missing any sort of orange, however it’s still very tasty tea!

Thanks jump62359, you’re my Adagio pusher, and I love you for it.

ack!i need to catch up with my castle watching…

Marzipan

That episode made me so mad.

TeaLady441

It’s so odd, but I like it! (the tea. Haven’t watched Castle yet.)

mj

I was totally irritated too! (about Castle)

MissB

Castle… potential spoilers here…

I’ll bet anyone who wants to take it (some tea) that this is another one of the couple’s dares, and this time, it’s Castle’s turn to one-up Beckett. From the second the episode started, I felt like it had a similar vibe, and knew it would have the ending it did.

Oh, this is interesting! Even/especially with the floaty apple bits that are supposed to be reminiscent of floating eyeballs :P It’s a slightly spicy puerh – I can taste the cinnamon, ginger and even a little bit of the anise.

Thumbs-up: approved.

Sami Kelsh

Ooh, this sounds very all right!

(I love the floaty apple bits in teas – I always eat them when I’m done with them, heh)

carol who

I’m always glad to see that someone else eats some of the fruity bits from their tea.

Marzipan

Mmmmm eyeballs. :)

mmmmmm tea for laaaate dinner lol. We had a late lunch at the mall so now we’re having late dinner. I figure about the time we roll out the pizza, i should be good for switching to the few herbals i wanted to have tonight. I didn’t manage to drinkg nearly as much tea this weekend as i wanted to, but that’s ok. One more day left in the month! woot woot!

I’m not sure what sherlock’s experiment should taste like, but this is a tasty blend of black tea and puerh. The cinnamon and spice doesn’t over power the tea and while i can’t taste the ginger (there’s never enough ginger in most teas to suit me…) I can tell that there’s a hint of orange in this. Overall a satisfying blend.

So I actually didn’t premeasure Tony Stark, I premeasured this one.
Okay just the weirdo spicy bits smelled similar! I though this had the same smell as the Lapsang used in Natasha and Tony but this one was a bit more toned down. It was actually the Pu Erh Spice that I smelled!
Well, yes. I am nervous for this blend. Tea Queen Cara blended it but… oh dang. Some of her blends are just a bit too adventurous for me.
The second I poured the water in, it started smelling like chai. But then after like 15ish seconds, the pu erh spice scent came back! Dude this blend just smells so weird.
After a couple minutes, the smell started to fade a bit.
Oh it’s weird. it’s reeeally weird. Not like Lapsang weird with how I felt with Natasha, but definitely a different class of weird. It’s not necessarily terrible, but it’s not the kind of the that I enjoy. I don’t even know what’s going on with this blend, so many different flavours in a small cup!
