Smooth Sophistication

Black Tea by Adagio Teas

All the feel and vibe of a coffee house with none of the coffee. The Cream and Vanilla combined with the Earl Grey Bravo will have your IQ feeling a few points higher. The Earl Grey Bravo will have just the right amount of strength and the cream and vanilla will help soften the finish of the tea. Enjoy!

Thanks to a swap with Rachel I am trying this tea. Also, thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for posting that it was really awesome brewed double strength.

Brewed double strength this is just the eye-opener I needed this morning. It’s like a shot of adrenaline in waking me up and giving me energy…although maybe a little too much energy according to my sleepy husband. I love that the earl grey bravo isn’t the only player in this tea, it is still there in flavor, although not as creamy as alone, and is added to with the other blends. Great morning cup. May try with a splash of cream next time.

Now if only Adagio would open their retail location so I could go and play with my own blend creations….I’ve heard a tentative date of tomorrow, but not sure on any updates.

Dry Leaf Smell: a creamy black flavored tea
Smell while infusing: Cream, Black Tea, a slight hint of Earl Grey
Post infusion smell: A mild Earl Grey with a hint of vanilla or Cream
Wet Leaves Smell: Earl Grey sort of but also Lavender and a hint of Bergamot

Color: Medium Brown

Tasting Notes: First sip was FULL of smooth…like slippery…mission accomplished right away! 2nd sip is relaxing and still velvety on the tongue. Mild Black Tea Taste and Mild Earl Grey. Nice!

I ‘brewed up’ a double shot of this this morning and it was VERY BOLD and I liked it better than last time so I am upping the rating!

Had a cup of this this morning and it was very creamy but the black tea taste was still fairly bold!

Quite creamy but good today!
I see a bunch of newbies on Steepster today! Welcome everyone!

Thank you to Rachel for sending me this tea to try!

My initial sip tells me that it is very smooth and creamy tasting – which based upon my limited experience with the adagio black tea base – a smooth, creamy start is a really GOOD thing. I’m not tasting a LOT of the Earl Grey notes, but, I do get a hint of it towards the end of the sip – kind of like a tip of the hat from the suave gentleman, letting me know that he is here, but he’s letting the sweeter vanilla and cream play the star role here.

My experience with the Adagio signature blends is admittedly quite limited – but I really am enjoying this one. Well done, Rachel!

Thank you Rachel for sending me a sample of this!

I am by no means an Earl Grey fan, so I wasn’t expecting to like this one at all. The cream and vanilla flavors really help smooth out the bergamot. Pretty good overall, just not really my type of tea. Prepared with stevia.

Mmmmm! I am not the biggest fan of Earl Grey tea, I don’t dislike it I just don’t love it, but any combination of Earl Grey and creme/cream/vanilla I just adore! I was really craving something of this variety this evening and I throughly enjoyed this cup. I also think the name perfectly describes the personality of this tea. I really need to add some kind of earl grey creme/cream/vanilla tea to my permanent collection.

Also thank you Rachel for this tea!

YUMMY! This has a nice mix of acidity and soft spices and gourmand. I love the earl grey’s citrus accent. The vanilla taste complemented it well. Overall strong and great blend. I added some milk and sugar to it, which IMO brought out the flavor more.
