Autumn Splendor Formally: TRICK OR TREAT 2009

Black Tea by Adagio Teas

If Halloween came in a tin it would taste like this… The flavors of spiced apple chai, caramel, and vanilla swirl together to bring you back to all those wonderful memories of going door to door in your cute costume with your best of friends competing to see who gets the most candy and going to all the best haunted houses. Now that we are older; and if your like me, you just don’t have the metabolism as you once did when you were a kid. No problem, now you can enjoy the Halloweens of yore with this tea blend. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Rachel for sending me a bit of this! :)

I can smell a spiced Apple Chai sort of aroma but I can taste the vanilla and chai and caramel type flavors.

As it cools and as I get towards the end of a sip I can taste the apple a little.

This is fairly spicy but still pretty good.

I’ve already been kicked out of the kitchen. Can’t say that my feelings are hurt. I’ll just have to sneak in the kitchen from the other side to make more tea.

The lovely Rachel sent me some of this blend. The smell is fantastic. I love the taste as well: smooth vanilla with the spiced apple chai. This is definitely great for a fall morning (though the current temperature is anything but fall-like). I think this would be good steeped for longer as well without harm.

This yummy moment is courtesy of Rachel Thanks!!!

This is very tasty. The spices, caramel and vanilla create a very pleasant taste. The apple is a bit less pronounced but I can taste it amongst the spicy notes. If I were to change anything about this blend, it would be to soften the black tea base Adagio uses which would make these delightful flavors more enjoyable.

Another awesome blend from Rachel!

The dry leaf smelled of spices… Maasala chai is what came to mind. Once I steeped it, it was so delicious! I added milk and sugar, and the flavors were outstanding! This makes it in my top 5 favorite signature blends! It is a nice cozy tea. Great for winter. It does remind me of Halloween as there is a slight apple flavor to it, but I mostly tasted the spices and cinnamon. I love chai, and when I buy a tin of this, I’ll try to make it on the stove.

DELICIOUS!!! I used the leaves 4 times!

I can’t believe I haven’t written anything about this in a while. This tea is perfect for this season! This is one of my favorite Adagio custom blends. It is perfect for the fall. It has a nice spicy scent and flavor to it. I will attempt to make this over the stove!

Definitely craved this tea today even though it is a black tea. I lightly steeped it and added a lot of milk and some sugar. SO delicious! This is a perfect beverage for this morning as it snowed overnight! I love the spices and how creamy it was.

I drank this all up today! Yes! I am feeling accomplished! :) This was a good tea! Nice blend of spices. It was best mixed with milk and sugar, otherwise, it tasted too strong. My husband felt sick after drinking this. I think he may be sensitive to the tannins… He feels that way about a lot of black teas.

I got this awhile back from a buddy. I am not normally a chai person, but I decided to give this a chance. I did not steep this a very long time but just strong enough. This does taste like chai but I taste abit of caramel and perhaps vanilla on the end. This tea Is pretty good.

I thought that this tea was fitting since today is September 1st and the 1st day of classes (although I personally don’t have class – haha). Although at 91 today is anything but autumn weather.

This tea was very good. It reminded me of creamy black tea and spiced apple chai which seems to be what it was going for. I throughly enjoyed it. I love tea with spices in it and I love tea with sweetness in it so this tea was a good match for me.

Thanks for the opportunity to try this tea Rachel!!
