Vanilla Mint Escape

Black Tea by Adagio Teas

Description
A creamy blend of vanilla and peppermint that is sure to please. These flavors blend very well together to make a wonderful balance between black tea and herbal.
Story
I had a similar tea at a great tea house where I live. I wasn’t sure about the combination on the menu, but just had to try it. It is now one of my favorites! I wanted to see what a version from Adagio would taste like since they have such high quality teas. I hope you like it as much as I do.

After seeing Franks flavor of the week, White Chocolate Grasshopper Honeybush, all I have had on my mind is thin mints, candy cane ice cream and buttermints. These were all on my mind as I was browsing Adagio’s new store in Naperville, IL. The store looks amazing btw!

I found this jem in a section of custom blends and after sniffing the leaves, I had to have it. The leaves smelled like everything I’d been envisioning in my head. I grabbed samples of several other teas, and a few larger bags of tea, but this was THE tea I had to have tonight.

This blend is very creamy and mint tasting. Like those delicious after dinner mints that just melt in your mouth. The aroma is fresh mint and vanilla. It is naturally sweet and leaves a tingle on the tongue. I’m loving it!

Enjoying this with a little sweetner today in my new teapot. I ordered a teapot from teasource on Friday and it arrived today! Such awesome service.

This tea is perfection with a little sugar. Brings out much more of the vanilla flavor and softens the mint a little. Enjoying this blend very much!

Not quite as sweet, creamy and minty today. I only steeped for 3 minutes, but it didn’t have that dessert tea taste it did the first time. I do enjoy the mint and black tea combo though. Nice head clearing tea, with a smooth mint and mellow black tea (if steeped 3 minutes)!

Meghann sent me a sample and I finally got around to trying it today. :)

Hello warmth! It is so cold outside! The flavor was very unexpected! I had expected more mint but I got more vanilla and a nice hint and aftertaste of mint. It is so creamy and warm. Just a lovely blend. I added a little agave and milk. It made the vanilla stand out even more. Yum! SO warm. Just right for this cold day.

I used up the last bit of sample today. It was a nice and refreshing blend. Mild creaminess and rounded mint was a good idea after dinner. I had this with some sugar and milk.

I’m trying to drink up as much tea as possible! I made a lot of tea orders from several sites. :)

I’ve been in the holiday spirit, and have decided that I’m going to put my Christmas tree up this weekend. It’s been a number of years since I’ve bothered with it, but I’m really feeling the season.

So I reached for this on this cold, winter-like morning. Vanilla and mint together always gives me the warm holiday fuzzies. Meghann tucked some of this into my sampler box. Creamy vanilla, smooth black tea, and the perfect amount of mint to give you a pleasing zing and warm fuzzy feeling. This is delicious!! Thanks so much for sending some my way!

Finishing up the last bit of this that MeghannM sent to me. Didn’t have quite enough for a full pot, so I just upped the steep by a minute. Delicious! I definitely need to invest in more of this: it’s smooth, creamy, and reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream. And the mint really helps to warm me from the inside out!

And back to the snow day schedule: knitting and Lifetime Christmas movies on Hulu!
