The Madness of King Mouse

Black Tea by Adagio Teas

The Mouse King represents the face of evil in The Nutcracker, to the point of his often being pictured with several heads — albeit not on this label, of course, for the sake of slightly more amusing/appetizing imagery! This tiny monarch would rather be eating gingerbread soldiers, and his greatest weakness, apparently, is to be hit in the noggin’ with a dancing slipper. As such, this inspirationally tyrannical holiday blend tussles together the Christmas flavors of gingerbread, hazelnut, and vanilla.

The Nutcracker is one of the most popular holiday ballets in the world, boasting an equally-popular score by Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky. For many, no Christmas is complete without an annual viewing of this fanciful, sweets-laden holiday spectacular — which also lends itself to a flavorsome world of inspirational, international, whimsical, and oh-so-giftable holiday tea blends.
