One of my favorite teas. Love the richness and the after taste/smell. Just gives me warm fuzzies.

Since I’m getting summer rain, figured it was time to have hot tea. It smells nicely like lavender, and a little like a beverage I had last time I was attended a Faire. I like earl grey, but the lavender is a bit on the strong side. Otherwise, I get a mild, creamy bergamot flavour. Might decided to use this for baked goods at some point.

I thought I had reviewed this AGES ago…seeing as it’s almost gone. I love this one as a morning latte. The lavender isn’t overpowering, but it does add a little something extra to the earl grey and that something is awesome. All the flavors mix so nicely together. Hmm, maybe I’ll go make myself a latte right now…

I gave my local yarn store a bunch of tea that had been in my tea cupboard that I had acquired but weren’t to my taste (mainly, because ginger… ew). And one of the employees offered me a cup of this in thanks.

It was not the best early grey lavender I’ve ever had, but I also suspect it was brewed too hot because the lavender got a bit lost in the flavor. I have my own source for earl grey lavender tea that I love so I won’t go out of my way to try this again, but if it’s offered, it’s a nice cuppa.

Seriously very nice. The bergamot is sharp without being too aggressive and lovely floral highlights of lavender with a mild black tea that has just enough body to carry it through. Adding milk feels like a desecration, but I often to do anyways. Creamy and dreamy.

added 1t of sugar. The lavender blends well with the tea, but I’m not really convinced it adds anything signficant.

What a strange earl grey! I was expecting floral, maybe with some cream flavors, but this is more like an orange-and-cream flavored black. The orange peel and vanilla/cream flavors completely take over and I can’t taste the lavender at all. It’s not bad but doesn’t live up to its name at all.

I had no idea this was going to be an Earl Grey creme when I bought it, either.

I like this a lot more than traditional earl grey – but I LOVE lavender. I think there is a sweetness there that is so nice, as I typically don’t add sweetener to anything but chai. I would definitely repurchase this – it would be soapy and strong without milk though. Most earl greys taste soapy to me. Milk is a must.

I prefer starting my morning off with an Earl Grey when possible, so when I saw the plethora of choices in this box I knew I’d be having quite a few happy mornings with the Earl. :)

With that said, this is an interesting blend. The EG notes are familiar – well-balanced bergamot and a rich black tea underneath – but the lavender adds a potpourri note to it that I’m not sure I like; I’m used to lavender as a “calm you down and go to bed” scent, so having it mixed in with my morning brew is a bit discordant.

It tastes pretty good, all told, so I’m certainly not complaining about having the cup…but I think I prefer the EG Creme flavours a little bit better.
