White Symphony

White Tea by Adagio Teas

An exquisite version of the White Peony variety, a delicate tea made from tea buds collected and withered prior to opening. It offers a preponderance of unopened leaf buds that create a pale yellow, light bodied, yet complex cup with hints of honeydew and a faint floral sweetness. If you enjoy the soothing flavor of our ‘White A’ Cappella’ tea, we invite you to savor this more refined version.

Okay I guess my taster is just off today! This one is is sweet, florally, woody and what I was thinking to be peppery but instead of pepper it maybe peony I don’t know what peony tastes like so I’m going to have to assume that flavor to be peony but I wouldn’t bet money on that. I don’t get melon but as it cools I get a small hint of sweetness at the end of the sip. Thanks to Erin I get to try this one (Thanks Erin).

This is my first white tea and I really liked the flavors. The smoothness of the tea and the flavors reminded me mostly of green tea without the grassy flavors. Definitely a good anytime tea. 1.5 tsps in 12oz cup, 180ยบ for 7 minutes.

Brewed this today with some Purevia stevia sweetener and I do not recommend it. Made the tea’s great earthy flavors really dull and it ended up tasting like I was drinking sweetened milk….not so great. Definitely going to avoid adding sweetener to this tea in the future.

I like this tea well enough, but I don’t really notice much of a difference from White Peony by Adagio, a tea I had just yesterday. Maybe a side-by-side would help with this. So, I’m giving it the same score as White Peony.

We enjoyed this tea, I would describe the notes as woody and a bit sweet. It was surprisingly energizing considering it has a low caffiene content. This is why I love tea, its always a pleasent surprise.

Adagio’s White Symphony has become a new favorite – slightly sweet and a nice cup while I’m getting some work done.

My last cup from this sample tin. Very happy with this white. All the adjectives I’ve used in the past still apply: delicate, sweet, floral. This is a version of white peony (which I love) and is like a white peony with all of its positive traits amplified but still balanced. (If that doesn’t make sense, just think white peony, but better.)

2.25g/6oz purified water… hoping to get at least 6 steeps out of this like I did for their Silver Needle.

It’s a little like drinking the scent of the forest ground as it wafts up in the early morning. That’s overly poetic, but it’s what I like about white tea—that hint of still growing, still in the earth bitterness. This has bright overtones making it delicious even unsweetened.

Slightly sweet, not overpowering, but definitely tea. On the way to becoming one of my favorite teas, and possibly my favorite white tea. Good way to wrap up a day of W.B. Yeats.

Starts with a light grassy taste, opens into a full honey sweetness, ends on a floral note. All very subtle flavors.

White symphony is very close to one of my all-time favorite white teas, white peony. I love the light taste and the hint of melon. It’s a wonderful white tea to enjoy all day long. I typically re-infuse my white tea 5 times.

White Symphony reminds me of the Silver Needle I had last week. Only difference is that it’s even more subtle. It’s not spectacular but it’s pleasant and I enjoyed having it before leaving work. It didn’t quite mellow me out or leave an after taste, it was just a pleasant cup of tea. I would say average and most likely try it again

This was the first white tea (not counting Jasmine Silver Needle) that I had ever tasted. I really liked it a lot. It was smooth and light, without being grassy. I bought Adagio’s white tea sampler, and I hope I like the other teas as much as I liked this one.
