Not A Rabbit

Black Fruit White Blend by Adagio Teas

Light, delicate, fruity – but surprisingly strong and elegant. Strawberries and cream over a layer of clean white peach – classy, pretty, and smooth.

’I’m still alone, sir.’

So the last of my Adagio orders came today! Damn that’s a lot of tea! This one just sounded nice and light. The smell that I noticed the most when I opened this was that of peachy rings; who doesn’t love those? I really love these fan teas, but have to admit that I’m not a fan of having black and white tea in the same mixture. Although many of these blends feature black/white or white/mate I still love them. They just take extra tinkering to get the time/proportion/temp. correct. This blend also had a surprise in the bag! Big chunks of something, I’m assuming berry or pit fruit, but still slightly alarming when you don’t know it’s coming!
Judging by the description I was expecting a lighter liquor, but this is quite dark due to the prevalence of black tea in this blend. mmm this is pretty nice! It does taste like peachy rings! The cream seems to be pretty dominant in this blend, but in such a better application than other blends that I have sampled. This use of cream flavoring might be what is separating this as tasting candy ring like instead of straight up fruit. I’m not sure the strawberry is as strong as I was expecting, but I don’t care because this is awesome! This tea is what the kid in me wants!

mmmm this tea is so lovely. I think that what surprises me the most is the abuse it can go through and not turn bitter. I would think that the large concentration of white tea would make it so that boiling temps would embitter the leaves or leave it astringent. But amazingly I oversteeped this and found no issue at all! I think that the peach is the main flavor, but other fruit notes do shine through and the cream really is what makes the flavor come together. A really great blend!

I’ve decided I like this tea a lot a lot! This tea reminds me of old times. Just something about the strawberry and fruity bits reminds me of younger days. I really love this tea and I would recommend it to non-fans and fans alike. It has a predominantly strawberry flavor with the cream coming in as a strong player as well. Highly loved in this home.

Fruit-clump tea time! This one smelled the best today. I am trying to wake up a bit so I can power through my presentation work! I am almost done with this semester and I couldn’t be more excited. Three more days!
This tea smells especially creamy today. I love this one and it’s awesome peach/cream matching. I still think this is one of the best of the blends that I purchased because it really did take a lot of different teas at different levels; instead of one overpowering the mix. Really great sharing tea.

I’m actually getting tons of strawberry in this cup! This little shape shifter consistently makes me happy with its blend of different fruit.

This is the first hot tea I’ve had for a few days. I guess I took a break! I think this is, again, due to my lack of the brewing items I usually used. : / Without a simple way to make small batches of tea in something super easy to clean I just haven’t felt like doing it at all.
Anywho, this tea is great! Today I got a bit more fruit clumps. This is full of them! They are actually pretty tasty. This is very creamy also. I think that the creamy aspect in this plays into the fruit flavor in such a positive way. In most blends cream or cream flavored tea just tastes bland; but this one it is much nicer and well balanced. I should try this iced soon!

I had a nice cuppa this just now. I find that it actually puts up with boiling temps just fine. The fruit is very pronounced with the cream backing it up, but not overwhelming it. I like the little bits of stuff I keep finding in this. It has to be one of my favorite blends from this company; one that I would order again when I run out!

I just had to have another cup of this today! I accidentally steeped this for 6 min. and surprisingly there is no bitterness at all. In fact, it really brought out the strawberry. I’m really enjoying this one.

mmm I think I got the time and temp. down on this one! I think this really does taste like peachy rings; which are basically a favorite of mine! This would probably taste really great iced, but I am being lazy today! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!
