Rooibos Berry

Fruit Rooibos Blend by Adagio Teas

Rescue experts say that if you ever get separated from your party while hiking through the woods, your best bet is to stay where you are. And, as long as you’ve got a cup of our Forest Berries rooibos tea, which combines the flavor of ripe summer berries and naturally caffeine-free rooibos tea, it’ll be a breeze.

Feeling like crap. Nauseous from vicodin. I’m drinking this and watching hamlet.

I didn’t have the experience that several others mentioned in their tasting notes… but my tea sample appears to be missing the berry pieces you see in the pictures…

After reading the other reviews, I’m thinking the missing berries might be a good thing. :)

I’m getting tired of Rooibos. But it’s 10 weeks (+/- 2) left on the low low caffeine plan, so I figure I should work through my samples. I brewed up a pot of this (even using a cozy to keep it warm), and am having a hard time getting through the first mug. When I do think to drink from it, it’s not half bad, just not something I particularly love either.

I just made a pot of this blended with the Rooibos Vanilla (http://steepster.com/teas/adagio-teas/278-rooibos-vanilla). Though it’s the same quantity of both, the berry is the one that stands out, so I’m logging it this way. It’s a nice blend. It’s still much more about the rooibos than the flavoring, though. A good decaf choice for this afternoon.

I just read the other tasting notes for this. Though I didn’t really have a preference for this one way or the other before, now I’m totally ready to be through with this cup! It’s just like berry-flavored medicine!!

My new way to go in the afternoon…Body + Mind base and add in some rooibos for flavor

Oh god, this tasted like the hated children’s “berry flavored” medicine. I couldn’t finish one cup.

Since I happened on this sample and don’t generally favor flavored teas, I wasn’t expecting much out of this Rooibos that instead turned out to be quite nice. I’m thinking the strawberry flavor would go well with bananas, cream & ice in a smoothy, sort of.

I don’t really get any medicinal flavor from this tea, however it is herbal so it would make sense why some say this. The berry flavor and aroma is very slight but enjoyable and the rooibos itself isn’t half bad. You really have to steep it for a while (10 mins or so) to get a real, bold flavor out of it. Aside from that, it tastes great mixing with lemonade, adding some sugar and milk or blending with black tea.

It smelled like dynatap or some other crappy cold medicine when I opened the tin. It was overwhelming. I couldn’t get the awful smell out of my nose the whole time I was steeping. It was just overall bad. Once brewed the cough medicine taste was subdued a bit. This was a really bad tea. I’m going to give the rest of the tin to someone else because I am certainly not brewing the rest of it. The really bad berry flavoring ruins this tea.
