Decaf Peach from Adagio Teas

Decaf Peach

Black Fruit Blend by Adagio Teas

Bright decaf Ceylon black tea flavored with ripe summer peaches. Sweet, syrupy peach fragrance, lingering floral aromas as you sip, pleasant astringency and ‘peach fuzz’ dryness. A gentle, natural decaffeination process retains the delicate shape and flavor of the tea leaves.

A good cup for the last minute work in the office. Time flew by, and before I knew it, I should have been home 30 minutes ago!!

Nothing says spring to me like peach tea. The weather’s warming up, so I made a cup of this decaf take on it. For me, peach tea is more about the peach than the tea, so this is a good cup. Now if only I had some ice around here….

I made a strong pot of this (3 teaspoons for a 2 cup pot… the strainer basket was full by the time the leaves had absorbed the water).

It’s good, but pretty strong. It’s funny, I hadn’t noticed it before, but at this strength, the tea part of the tea tastes a lot like the base tea for 52 Teas’ Vanilla Date.

I made a mug of this after my disaster cup this morning, but then got sucked into meetings and lunch (all fun, at least!)… so I’m just now finishing this cup now. Since it’s a bit chilly, this is now a cold peach tea, and not too bad. The peach strikes me as stronger at this temperature, but it’s still a good drink.

I’ll sure be sad when my sample of this is used up! Great strong black tea with a good peach flavor.

Maybe I’ll order an 8 oz.

It’s not as good as I remember it being. It’s sort of bland and weak tasting. Maybe the sample just is a little old? IDK.

I decided to do a side by side comparison of Adagio Decaf Peach and Harney’s Midsummer’s Peach. I did find that the Harney’s was peachier, and since I tend to enjoy sweeter teas I prefer the Harney’s. However, I am not sure it is worth the twice as expensive pricetag for a pound…….

For Adagio, I do prefer the Decaf Apricot over the Decaf Peach. They do taste similar, so I will probably stick with the Apricot once my sample is done.

I probably have about one more big mug of this tea after my cup tonight. I do plan on enjoying it down to the last leaf! It is good, but I have so many others that are like it, so a repurchase is not likely.
