I enjoy this tea every now and again. You can really taste the chocolate in it and it all comes together to taste similar to a mocha capuchino.

I do enjoy this tea very much, though it sort of makes me uncomfortable to be in a category described as sexy, passionate and intense, haha. And to describe a tea that way! It seems a bit odd to me to have something so sweet and calming as vanilla rooibos in a blend that is categorized as dark and robust. I might have subbed in lapsang souchong. But still, very delicious!

Thanks to Shadowfall for letting me try this tea.
Scorpio is my zodiac. Scorpio is known to be “passionate & jealous”
Combined these two factors, I was so curious about this tea. Would it be really bitter? Would it be really sour? Just when I think of scorpio, it’s definitely not something sweet or smooth :)
When I brewed it, I smelled smooth, somewhat sweet scent of rooibos. I was surprised that they chose to use rooibos as base, but then, more surprised that it was vanilla flavored — When I drank it it was very smooth vanilla rooibos tea. Really? Scorpio & Vanilla? Just..unexpected combination.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked this tea. Just name did not work for me :)

This smells better than it tastes. When I take a whiff, it smells like delicious caramel chocolate goodness. In my mouth, it’s not that great. It’s sweet, which I love, but it has some sort of chemical aftertaste I can’t seem to get past. Next time I’ll try it with milk and sugar.

I enjoy this blend. It ha a strong black base with a slight hint of rooibos. The flavors seem to meld together into a flavor of their own. I don’t know how to really describe this one. Too much going on in my brain after a stressful workday to really tear it apart. Just trying to enjoy the relaxation a cuppa tea brings. Maybe green tea would have been a better choice for me right now.

In it’s defense this tea has probably been in the pass for some time and by the time I got it, it probably lost a lot of flavor and maybe took on the flavors of the other teas in the box. As a result, it was not good. Basically flavored water with all ingredients unidentifiable when tasting. I am sorry, but I probably need to taste a fresh batch.

This will not brew sweet (and I don’t add any) as the scent would lead you to expect but it is an enjoyable cup. A dark and heavy brew that reminds me a little of coffee with just a touch of chocolate.

I love this blend! I never expected such an odd combination to be so delicious. The mango and chocolate go perfect together and the bled of black and rooibos is brilliant. A yummy dessert tea, but great any time.

Not too bad, but not really great either. It smells wonderful in the tin, but to be honest, I wasn’t that impressed with the actual taste of it brewed. To me it smelled/tasted a bit bitter and I couldn’t really find any of noticeable tastes of chocolate, vanilla or mango. It might be that I just used too hot of a temperature and burned it, though with a black/rooibos combo, I didn’t think you really could. Still going to mess with the brewing temp a bit next time since it can’t hurt.
Most likely I think it’s my own taste since I’ve been drinking mainly oolongs and whites lately.
This is one I’ll keep around and revisit now and then, definitely when I’m on more of a black kick.

The predominant flavor here is a combination of chocolate and tea, which makes a nice combo if you ask me. A touch of sugar bring up the flavorings.

I am not a fan of flavored teas and only tried it because I got a free sample. As far as flavored teas go, this one is not so bad, I can easily see how some would like it. I’d recommend it to people who like flavored teas. I suspect this will taste good iced and sweetened, but I never thought to try. If I get another free sample I might try it iced, but not something I’d buy.

Another tea that smells delicious but fails to be equally subtle upon brewing. I’m not opposed to it (though I bought it as a free sample), but the mango, vanilla, and chocolate did not balance to my taste, and the overall effect is less sweet than I had anticipated- I have yet to really taste the chocolate at all, even as a hint.

I’m going to keep trying it until it’s gone though, in hopes of hitting a good balance. If you add sugar, be sparing- my typical two packets of Sugar in the Raw to a cup will be too much for most people.

This is a great tea…when brewed properly. Brew it too long and its far to bitter. If you don’t brew it long enough its chocolaty taste does not come out well. Its a gret cup of tea for a cold day outside. It also a great tea when the lights are low and the mood is right.

Another cup of tea for tonight, perhaps the last for the night. I think i finally have the recipe down for this tea. 2 teaspoons of the tea itself in simmering water, just hot to the touch. In these conditions this tea excels. The sweetness of the chocolate comes out and the smoothness is exceptional. No Tannin when brewed at this temperature, which is essential for me to enjoy a cup of tea. You cannot really detect the mango that is allegedly in the tea, but the vanilla and the chocolate blend nicely.

It is a good night to be a scorpio. I brewed this tea with boiling water, and accidently let it steep for 10mins. The tea still brewed up without a bitter edge, with the mango and chocolate notes predominating. Delicious.

In the mood for something sweet :)

Pissed at the world so I will crawl into a dark corner, have a cup of tea with a nice biscotti.

Was looking for something to drink and there was this sample from Adagio. I opened the container and the aroma wafting up woke up my senses! The hint of chocolate is what first got me. Then after brewing for 5 minutes, the taste was wonderful: rich, creamy and the hint of chocolate. Not for early morning but mid morning or (I can hardly wait) mid afternoon this is too good!!

This ain’t sweet at all! That’s why I like it. Very rich, creamy, subtle….scorpio-like.

Got this as a freebie in my last order. This is extremely sweet and not really my thing, but I am intrigued enough by the vanilla rooibos that I shall probably order a sample of it.
