White Monkey Sinensis

Green Oolong Blend by Adagio Teas

Prager picked a pouchong. This blend features a buttery oolong further mellowed by a touch of white monkey. Brew this when you’re not ready to commit to the caffeine-free Kevin rooibos but you still want a smooth experience. Prepare for a soothing cup of yellow-green glow without the grassiness of straight-up green tea. Oolong will make you happy. Make it with care: use cooler water (180° versus boiling) for 3-5 minutes.

Created by: David Prager
Contains: coconut pouchong, white monkey

Accidentally boiled the water, woops. Still a decent tea, can taste some coconut, with a little bit of a grassy after taste.

I brewed this without remembering what the blended components were, and I paid dearly for it. The aroma was extremely coconut heavy, and I am not a fan of coconut at ALL. It practically made me nauseous. I was able to fight through it to take a few sips, though, and amazingly, there isn’t that much coconut in the palate.

Steeped 3 minutes at 180°F. Prepared in Adagio IngenuiTEA teapot.
