Oolong Formosa

So far I’ve not managed to brew a great cup of tea out of this stuff. I’ve tried everything I know how, but, haven’t been able to drink enough tea to try all the options on steep time. The directions on the label say 4-5 minutes, but, so far every variation on temperature and steep time I’ve tried has left me with something that’s not quite that good, I’ve yet to explore some of the shorter times. It’s not bad, but, it doesn’t have the sweet almost chocolatey taste that I’ve gotten out of some of the other oolongs I’ve tried, leaving me drinking some slightly weird flavored water. I might be doing it wrong. :|

A nice creamy oolong with a tangy aftertaste. I really like Argo although sometimes I feel like some of their teas haven’t been bought since 03. When I brought this oolong up to the counter they gave me this look like nobody had ever asked to buy loose tea, especially this one. All in all, a good tea.

Bought this to try something new…my first “wow, I have never heard of this varietal” tea. When I steep it, the smell reminds me of some shwag weed. Taste is a bit woody, but not overpowering. Not really getting the sweetness the other reviewer talked about, but I don’t think I made this very strong. Overall, not bad, but not amazing. I would give this varietal another try, but not this company.
