From Aromatica Fine Teas

Amoda Tea Monthly Box – July 2015

Tart hibiscus, sweet & tangy blood orange and a medley of 7 other fruits and flowers together create an amazing blend. Naturally sweet and caffeine free. You can add some sweetener to balance the tart and tang if you like. Steep this double strength, add sweetener, pour over ice or pour into heat-safe popsicle molds. So good! Or make a spritzer with a splash of soda or ginger ale. Have kids at home? They’ll love this too.

Ingredients: Hibiscus, apple pieces, cherry pieces, blood orange bits, rose hips, safflower petals, cranberries, lemon myrtle, and apple peel

From Aromatica Fine Teas:

An Aromatica Original blend. Hibiscus, apple pieces, cherry pieces, blood orange bits, rose hips, safflower petals, cranberries, lemon myrtle, and apple peel. Jane Pettigrew, International Tea Sommerlier, reviewed this tea: “A good balance. All the ingredients are quite sharp and citrus so needs some form of sweetener such as honey, brown sugar, or even a fruit jam or curd. Delicious!”

This is probably one I should be trying iced first, but I usually do hot tea at work so that’s what I’m having. I definitely want to try this iced at some point though. The dry blend is mostly hibiscus from what I can tell, but there are also pieces of dried fruit and citrus peel. It smells very bright and sweet. I am picking up on the citrus more in the dry blend. The steeped liquid smells mostly of hibiscus. It is a deep berry red and has a definite tang to it.
