Thank you, Will Work For Tea!

I took pictures of some teas that had no pictures on here because why not? Nothing else to do right now. Maybe make a decision about what I am doing this weekend but I just don’t want to drive, and the only other way to go to NC is to leave in about 12 hours and I’m not ready to do that. Meh.

I’d miss my tea way too much because I don’t have a good way to make it if I go…that tea shaker, I bought it, but it has yet to arrive. Though the best bet is probably cold brewing with bottled water, ugh the water.

So anyway that’s just been taking up my time for the past week practically and it’s annoying. So more tea it is.

I probably should have steeped this a bit longer, but it’s so good nonetheless. The tea is true to its name. It is incredibly creamy and coconutty. It tastes so much like coconut, it feels like coconut flakes in your mouth. Now that makes for a bizarre feeling.

This stuff is definitely going on my shopping list. Wow. And as an added bonus, it’s beautiful!

Well, I must admit, I am surprised to see the rating on this tea.
Or maybe I am just inexperienced at tea drinking.
But, my first thought when I opened the tin was “WHOA” and it was not a good “whoa”.
It smelled strong and slightly perfume-y to me.
To be honest, not very much like coconut at all.
Much more flowery and I repeat, perfume-y.
Once it is brewed and poured it calmed down some, smell wise.
Taste is more flower-ish than coconut as well.
Once, I told myself to stop thinking it as coconut tea and more like flower scented tea, I was able to enjoy it better.
I liked the second infusion better, smell and taste were milder.
It is brews up beautiful in a Libre or Glass teapot because of the lovely blue petals.
As I type this, I am curious to how it would taste iced.
I might have to try that next.
I will drink up this tea, but most likely will not be purchasing again.

UPDATE

This tea is actually very tasty as a Cold Brewed Tea!
The perfume-y taste/smell that I complained about above is not really there at all and (GASP!) I actually taste the coconut!
I used about 8 tablespoons in my Takeya and left in the fridge cold brewing for about 20 hours.
I am pleased with a smooth, light tea that is perfect for a summer day!

This is one of the most beautiful teas I’ve tasted. The dry leaves and flowers are just lovely.

This is the strongest coconut flavored tea I’ve tasted. It has almost a buttery feel on my tongue. Loving it :)

I think it would make an excellent latte or iced tea.

Update: Made a foamy tea latte with second steeping. Yum!

WOW! Just WOW!

I think this is an amazing tea! First off, the dry leaf is so pretty – white tea leaves blended with blue cornflowers, dried shredded coconut and sprinkled with safflowers. The smell of cream and coconut fill the nose. Ooooooo!

The taste matches the strength of the smell – creamy, creamy coconut. The smell and taste are quite strong, but I’m not complaining. I really like strong teas in general.

Currently I’m enjoying this iced, but it’s also good hot – which is a reason why I’ll probably keep it stocked in my cupboard. It’s also good without sweetener, but I find that adding a little takes it over the top! :)

This is the second white tea I’ve tried recently and am finding that I’m liking them more than I thought I would. (I’m more partial to flavored blacks.) Who knows, maybe I’ve been lucky with my choices. Whatever it is, I’m looking forward to finding more delicious offerings of white tea!

Another tasting possible because of Jaime! Thanks so much girlie!
This is lovely! It really IS! Peony and Coconut and white tea! Very nice! Very true…not fake tasting! Very calming and tasty! There is a sweetness yet a tropical feeling to it that is neither to extreme on either end. YUMMO!

Thank you Jaime yet again for sending me this tea as well as all the others yet to be reviewed.

I was taken back a bit by this one. I have to have about 3 sips before I really understood it. I think it is because I had a black tea right before it and my tongue was confused and the palate wasn’t cleansed. Nevertheless, once I go to know it a bit better I got a strong creamy base with an essence of coconut. I did enjoy it quite a bit but need more time with it.

This is creamy and smooth; I tried this iced and it was amazing! Tastes like a delicate white tea mixed with coconut milk, very yummy and I will be ordering some soon since summer is right around the corner!

I made a big 16oz cup of this last weekend with ice and milk. It was soooo good and tasted just like sweet coconut milk! Yummmmmmm :-D

Yummm, I got me a nice sized bag of this tea this past weekend and I had it hot this go around. Still good but not as an amazing experience that I had the first time with it iced. This will be my summer tea that I will have iced with some milk and german rock sugar….yummm!

Yum- a good coconut flavor along with a toasted (caramel?) after note.

Yum! Something about the way they put this one together makes the flavor stand out more than I’m used to in white teas, it’s subtle but definitely present. This takes milk really well also – I like it best with a little chocolate soy milk for a nice chocolate coconut treat.
