Tea Clinic: Stress Busting
Ingredients: Black tea, peppermint, rose & liquorice
Black tea is thought to be great for alleviating chronic stress by bringing you back to normal more effectively.
There are many ways your body can react to stress. For many of us our digestion goes into overdrive, made worse by eating on the run, eating heavy and processed meals & eating food your body is intolerant to when you are under pressure and just grab what is available.
Peppermint is renowned for its cooling and calming effect on the stomach. Meanwhile liquorice and rose soothe the digestive system and have a mild laxative action, so together they are thought to help relieve common digestive issues.
Liquorice supports the adrenal glands during anxious times and rose is renowned as a nerve tonic, great for ‘raising the spirits’ and helping relieve tension.
