Bhakti Chai

Black Chai Blend by Bhakti Chai

Bhakti Chai awakens the mind and body with a sweet jolt of clarity by using Ayurvedic principles of healing. Fresh ginger and spices provide digestive health, an immune boost, and defend during cold season and black tea is a powerful antioxidant. Bhakti quart jars are re-usable (more sustainable than recycling) so wash out with hot water and re-use! Some of our customers have recommended using the jars to store nuts, beans, oats, granola, buttons, use for watercolor brushes, or as your drinking jar during yoga instead of leaching water bottles.

CRAZY ME! http://youtu.be/i66vQ2EM9Z0 Monsoon Wedding Rain Song

When I review an elegant tea it takes a lot of effort. I have a disability. If you were around me you would notice that I can’t multitask and that I get ramped up or hyper until I know you well and can relax. It takes time to write and find the words to express what I want to say and feel. Then I’m drained.
So every day, I mix a hard tea to review with an easier one.

This tea is an easy review. A fun review.

Boulder Colorado is a tea lovers Paradise. There are multiple tea houses and a Tea Festival (next month). I love to go from place to place walking through the outdoor Pearl Street Mall full of flowers and fountains looking so beautiful, stopping at one tea house after another.
I found this locally bottled Iced Chai that comes in various forms. Concentrate, sweetened and unsweetened and all vegan, organic and packaged responsibly. Worth a taste, I thought, since it’s a local product.

Yowzah! One sip and Yowzah! This is some potent Chai!
There’s a volcano in the bottle! Fresh grated ginger (not powdered) and cardamom, organic fair trade black tea, cane juice, ginger juice, organic soy milk and other spices…you betcha!

If you have any trouble with your sinus’s or waking up in the morning…I have the cure!

Shhhhh….
(the truth is… this is good tasting tea.)

Really, out loud… THIS TASTES GOOD! The heat kickin, and spices
cooled just enough by the soy milk that there is mellowing at the end as though the Black Tea arrived with a caramel flourish.

I would buy this again. Actually, the concentrate where you may add your own milk of choice would be better. You could make the Chai just the strength want it to be.

Nice job for a Brewed in Boulder, CO Fresh Chai!

OMGOMGOMGTHIS is SO good!

The ginger here is much zestier, peppy-er, peppery-er… Just… more ginger-y-er! And it gives this tea an unbelievable flavor. This is the sweetened Original Chai but it’s pleasantly sweet, not overdone.

Just really good.

Finishing off the last of this jar… and my full-length review of this chai published this afternoon: http://sororiteasisters.com/2011/03/24/product-review-original-bhakti-chai-concentrate-from-bhakti-chai/

Totally yum!

I am already half-way through my second cup of this… it is SO YUMMY!

Delicious chai. Awesomely amazing. And any other glowing adjective you can think of.

yum! I am having a steamy, creamy mug of this latte… so good. Amazingly good. If the chai lattes from the local coffee shops tasted this good, I’d go there more often! This make me want to move to Colorado!

Had this for the millionth time the other day and had to write about it on here! I absolutely love this blend. It’s much spicier than the usual (Tazo, Oregon Chai) blends that places like Starbucks use. It’s just too bad it’s only served locally (Boulder, Colorado area) as far as I know. They also make an ice cream which is AMAZING (very heavy on the ginger, which normally I’m not a huge fan of, but it works in the ice cream). The concentrate is sold in local Whole Foods here, but it’s about $12 and comes in an enormous jar which there’s no way I would ever use up, so I’ve only had it in restaurants!

Finally bought some concentrate to keep at home, and I have to say I’m so addicted to this! I mix almost 3/4 chai with maybe 1/2 soy milk and have it chilled with ice. AMAZING. I am dying to try it as an ice cream float with Bhakti Chai Ice Cream sometime in the future too.

I also just bought one of the brand new pre-blended ready to drink cold bottled blends (mixed with soy milk) but haven’t had it yet. I got the “slightly sweetened” kind, which I’ve never had before so I’m anxious to see how it tastes too!

It makes me sad that I’m still the only one on here who has tried this (unless some of y’all are drinking it and just haven’t reviewed it yet—?)! It’s so full of awesome spicy chai goodness, I just want to spread the love! I had it again this past weekend at my favourite local restaurant (The Walnut Cafe in Boulder, Colorado)… every time I eat there, I tell myself, “okay, you don’t need a chai—don’t order the chai!” but then I do. Every time. I just can’t help it! I haven’t yet let myself buy the concentrate to keep at home because A) it’s pricy and B) the last thing I need is complete access to chai any time of day or night. I’ll gain 25 pounds in no time! ;)

The best chai that I have ever tasted in my best chai tea seeking life! :) I love it because it is real chai tea! No powders or artificial flavors… Just pure and organic goodness! I the fact that the ginger is pressed. It has that good burn a hole in your chest kind of feeling to it…LOL It’s the spiciest and creamiest chai ever! I live in NYC but I’m originally from Denver so whenever I go home I have to stock up on this. I also love that fact that they have on the go bottles of it now!

Way too gingery. For hot summer, this is absurd – so much heat!! Someone will have a stroke or burst an artery from so much heat. What’s good for cold-cold winter is not suitable for BLAZING summer.
