The hotel provides this so I thought I’d try it out.

I would just like to get it off my chest that K-Cup packaging makes me sad. Why?!

Not sure if it was the Coffee Mate whitener I added in or the tea itself, but this was nasty. Tasted like cardboard. Two sips and it went down the drain.

To (sort of) make up for it, I had a chai latte at a nearby French bakery, which was decent. Not as spicy as I’d like but a million times better than this.

So for Christmas we received a Keurig from my parents. Since the only way for me to make coffee for the past year and half has been instant or french press since my drip maker hit the fritz. We were pretty excited. First of all I love the Keurig for coffee it’s been awesome to have. So my wife and I bought a few boxes online since we could get two free, and the shipment came today. So of course what do I do…yes break out the tea. So I tried the medium cup setting. Whoa! That is a strong cuppa. I feel guilty saying this but I actually had to water it down a little. Malty and tanic…more so tanic. So for dinner I decided to try it again over ice. Perfect proportions. A little strong for hot but great iced. I so do like the new addition to our kitchen.

Tea Type/Varietal: black
Region:
Steeping Vessel/Amt. Leaf: cup/ Keurig brew cup
Plucking Season:
Liquor Color: dark malt color
Leaf Characteristics: This was a Keurig brew cup of tea

While visiting the library to return some books and dvds I found that they had a Keurig brewer for (coffee, tea, cider and hot chocolate). I am familiar with this machine since I once worked with years earlier. I decided to have a cup of tea and selected the English Breakfast Tea; passing over the India Chai Tea.

It is so very simplistic. You place the paper cup underneath the brew section of the machine and once I select the tea I wanted, I lift the lid to place the cup like disc in its middle and closed the lid; then there is a tea brewing button to push down and after this the tea begins to dispense into the cup and it is nicely hot.

I took my cup of tea after placing $1.00 dollar into the donation cup and sat down to enjoy the tea which was very nice and strong. All that I remember was that it was very hot as I wrapped my fingers around the cup for the warmth offered while holding it.
