From Bigelow

Chai is a delightful blend of tea and exotic spices. It is often brewed with milk, which gives Chai a wonderful, creamy characteristic. In Bigelow Vanilla Chai we have added the flavor of vanilla, offering you a whole new dimension in Chai.

Ingredients: black tea, spices, natural and artificial flavors (soy lecithin)

Not only does this tea smell delicious but it tastes good too. However I have to add a little milk to mine to tone down the flavor and so the vanilla can be tasted as well.

Plain, this tea is boring. With a little honey and almond milk, however, the light touch of chai comes out in an enjoyable way. The vanilla is very subtle and hard to detect, however, and could use a stronger kick. This tea is also good heated in milk instead of water.

Not the best chai I’ve ever had, but a solid and reliable option when I run out of loose tea. I do like the addition of vanilla to the traditional chai spices.

Backlogging from work last night. My first cup I had with a single splenda and one single serve creamer. Toooo sweet with that splenda but still super yummy!

My second cup just plain. SUPER yummo. It was really way too hot in the hospital, so for my third cup I put it over ice with cream and sugar. Feh. Liked it better hot.

All in all though I’m glad I bought a box!

Straight up in the mid-afternoon, this aromatic blend puts a small smile on my face after one whiff, but leaves the tastebuds wanting more. The Vanilla Chai does not forsake its name in rich fragrance and creamy texture. I expected the post-steep sips to follow suit, but was not completely disappointed by a comforting, sweet splash of subdued vanilla in black tea.

Not bad for a bag chai. I tend to like spicier chais, which this has more of a mellow flavor, but I think the vanilla makes up for it. The fact that it has artificial flavoring is kind of a turn-off, though.

Yummy! I could sit and smell this stuff all day. Just tried my first cup steeped in water then added milk and sugar in the spirit of chai. Very good! Then I decided I needed another cup right after- seems the addictive nature that I read about is true. This time I used the “traditional” preparation (suggested on the side of the box) in a pot with water and milk according to the directions. Added some sugar. Heavenly!
