Tea bag appearance: A mixture of finely ground and loosely chopped pieces in a see through teabag. Some pieces are fine enough to come through the bag.

Tea bag scent: Herbal and sweet with chamomile tones.

Steeping Instructions: None are given on the packaging but knowing this is herbal I will use boiling water for approx 5-7 minutes. Also, a quick note to say the teabag string is a little short and needs to be tied around the handle to stop the bag from fully submerging, string and all.

Once steeped a golden brown liquid is the result with a thick and sweet chamomile scent.

In flavour this is sweet and thick with dominant chamomile tones, which matches the steeped scent. There is a floral undertone which lightens the chamomile and leaves a soft sweetness in the after taste. Unfortunately I cannot pin point any other ingredient in the flavour other than the chamomile which is a little disappointing.

I am thankful that this blend does not have lavender, as a lot of sleep inducing blends seem to have now a days. I am however, disappointed that this just tasted like a chamomile tea. While I neither dislike nor like chamomile (I see it as being inoffensive) I was hoping for the other ingredients to shine through. Other than a mild and undetermined floral hue toward the after taste there is no evidence of the other ingredients. As mentioned again with the previous two, this is a blend that is not necessarily about the taste. In terms of feeling sleepy I can say at the minimum I feel calm and relaxed, but not ready for sleep yet. But for someone that suffers from insomnia it was always a lot to ask for a tea to send me sleepy.
